"Stayed one night. Initially given room 214 which was pleasant but a bit of noise later from the kitchens. Reception Staff were fabulous and moved us to a quieter room (204) which was superb with a fabulous view of the fjord. Spa and swimming pool was very good. Tried to get a simple dinner but lunch menu not available in the evening and no flexibility offered - found a fabulous cafe down the road (Ferryman) which did the trick. Breakfast was very good. All in all, very good stay."

"We stayed in the Ferienwohnung (holiday flat) for 1 night, as this was suggested as a good option for a family of four. It was massive (3 bedrooms with many beds in each) but a nice break for 1 night as an alternative to all being piled into one room as we have done elsewhere. A bit pricey if all you really need is a bed on the way elsewhere, however. Definite 80s vibe to everything, but clean & functional. (We assumed that this was a flat an owner & their family might have lived in previously?). Very peaceful at night despite location on a busy road. Unexpected bonus for some members of the family was the proximity of a German military airbase, if starting the morning watching fighter jets take off & land is your thing! Perfect location also for visiting Haitabu Viking village, if travelling by car."

"We were very friendly and had a beautiful room with a great view. But as the wind came to this home, the room was cold despite full-screen heating. It pulled through the window, which you could see well at the gardens. Otherwise everything was perfect."

"We just returned from a four night stay at this hotel, where we rented a penthouse suite, located on the top floor.The design of this apartment was excellent; floor-ceiling windows, which could be partially opened to allow the sea breeze to cool the rooms (much appreciated during the present heatwave). A modern bathroom with two washbasins, sauna, wellness bath and the most efficiently designed shower unit I have ever encountered. Living room with mini kitchen faced the sea and we watched the sunrise over the Danish coast. We self-catered, but enjoyed a couple of visits to the Strand Cafe for coffee and cake."
