The staff at the reception are not very helpful, my laundry was lost for 5 days as the laundry is only done on week days and takes 2 days to get it returned. As I stayed in February and March the room is very cold, maximum 17 to 18 degrees Celsius. As I came for business I was lacking socket at the desk for the PC and a note pad for taking notes. Housekeeping could be improved and opening hours of the gym didn't match with my working hours for exercising. Breakfast buffet is very good, only opens late in the weekend for working people. Parking system is not flawless. Would not advise hotel as price is too high for the service rendered. I'm already staying for more than 10 years in a Van Der Valk hotel in Belgium location and there the price- quality ration is much better. I think Van Der Valk Schiedam suffer too much from the Dutch attitude.
