Delmont Hotel

We had the Sunday lunch sharing board. Lovely vegetables and the best gravy I’ve ever had. Good Yorkshire puddings. The restaurant has amazing views. Didn’t have room for pudding! Service was great. A good place for families, would recommend.

Bang average On arrival we checked in 30 mins early which was good. Got a good parking space outside. We had a sea view so I was very happy with that. We went to room and the cleaners had left their clothes, dirty cups and dirty towels in our room. We also didn’t have any bath towels in our room. I went to reception and reported this and they did apologise and bring all fresh. Very quickly. Later that night we found a receipt from a week ago, so I do question the cleanliness as a whole. Which considering they allow dogs is a worry in my opinion. The room was pretty basic and very dated. Def needs some tlc. There was a blackout blind at the window but unfortunately when the sun came up at 6am it shone round the edges and woke us up. Maybe some curtains would be a god idea!! Overall an average stay but prob wouldn’t return.

Seagulls literally knocked on the upper floor windows all day and all night long, as if they were previously being fed through the window. Huge bathroom window had plain glass which was overlooked by residents in the opposite street! Bottom sheet was clearly from a single bed as it didn’t even cover the sides of the double bed.

We went had 3 rooms for 6 people and no complaints from anyone, all said they would happily return and that’s not often the case when we travel. The location was great, easy to get into town and or the beach with at least a couple of the rooms having good sea views. Breakfast was very good, plenty of everything and staff couldn’t be more helpful. We didn’t use the entertainment as we had events booked but was good to see they had something on each night. We didn’t use make good use of the bar and both drinks and service were great. Finally we we able to take advantage of the free parking for both cars and the motorcycles in our party. A great stay and will be back.

Very friendly staff on arrival, a fantastic room with one of the best views I have ever had .we tried the on site restaurant which was again very very good . All round great stay , we have already booked to visit again . Thanks for the great stay ..
