Ein kleines Paradies! Sehr empfehlenswert, in jeder Hinsicht! Unsere schönste Unterkunft in Costa Rica! Nach einer spannenden Anfahrt, waren wir sofort verzaubert, von diesem herrlichen Ort. Die uns empfohlenen Ausflüge an die nahegelegenen, endlos langen Strände, haben sich gelohnt.

This is a wonderful and clean boutique hotel. The last mile and a half drive to the property is a narrow, winding and steep road, but the drive is well worth it. The view from the rooms is spectacular looking out onto the ocean and amazing sunsets. The staff made our stay. The waiters were very friendly and gave us information about the area and wildlife. We saw toucans and a sloth on the property. Our waiter, Giovani, shared a video of a sloth climbing a tree and I view it now to make me happy. The dining area was conducive to talking with other guests. They have a very nice yoga platform and readily provided mats. The staff responded to all of our requests promptly and happily. We will stay at Lapazul again if we visit Costa Rica.

We zijn net terug van een paar mooie dagen in dit hotel, en we missen het nu al. Wat was dit een mooie plek! Alles tot in de puntjes geregeld en het eten is geweldig! De medewerkers zijn super vriendelijk en niets is hun te veel. Bedankt voor de mooie dagen en tot volgende keer.

Lapazul and its staff are amazing in all possible ways. It's a small boutique hotel on top of a mountain: the view is STUNNING, we saw more animals during breakfast than in parks we had visited previously. George is incredible: he did a tour with us each morning to show us where the slot was hiding, where the frogs were... He is very friendly, helpful but also respects your privacy. You come to this hotel to relax, to destress, and enjoy nature around you. We recommend staying at least 3 days! As in other comments, it's steep uphill and you need a 4*4: we had a rental Suzuki that you could easily switch from regular to 4*4. We had no issues at all, and it was very rewarding to arrive then at this little paradise. The hotel takes a personal approach. We met the owner, the manager who just came around for a short chat to make sure we were having a great experience. On the last day, we had a minor panic, as we had to return to the airport for which you normally need about 3.5 hours. Suddenly, Google maps switched to almost 5 hours due to a road closure. The team helped us and called traffic police. By the time we were packed and ready to rush, the manager was able to tell us the road closure would be lifted asap and we should take that shorter road anyway. We did and easily made it in time to the airport! This is a hotel we will be highly recommending to friends and co-workers. If we visit Costa Rica again, we will definitely plan a stay at Lapazul.
