We were given a 3rd floor room but the one elevator was broken. After a while we were given a 1st floor room. No breakfast. Dirty ac. Both external door locks didn’t work, either stuck open or the card didn’t work. Staff WAS nice though on the one bright side. I’d never stay at a Candlewood suites again

Front Desk attendant was rude and laughed when I attempted to check in despite having a confirmation. Was denied a room and told hotel was sold out, when I explained I had a confirmation she said it was no good. Asked for alternative options and was told it wasn’t her problem, to contact *******.

We booked this hotel as an overnight on a drive to Fl. Location was good, but everything else was terrible. The pantry was almost completely empty, including no water. The person at the desk didn’t know what they were doing. And when we got to the room, there were so many small insects we decided we couldn’t stay. For all we knew, they could have been bedbugs. We grabbed our things and told the front desk we weren’t staying, and that we didn’t expect to be charged. The manager on duty, with a smug smile on her face the whole time, said we’d be charged anyway. On our way to the car, we ran into another couple leaving the hotel who said they had also killed a number of insects and left their room. It took weeks, and a dispute case with our credit card to finally get a refund. And this was after talking to IHG directly and being told that the hotel’s general manager would call us. She never did. Every time we tried reaching her, we were told she was “in conference.” At the end of the day, the infestation was the least of the problem, more so the smug attitude of the manager on duty and the lack of cooperation from the general manager (and IHG’s inability to help manage the situation) that makes me decide to never stay at this property, or any Candlewood Suites or IHG property, again.

Road trip. Used room as stop for driving trip to keys. Great area for that. Checkin was ok. Not a lot of personality. Got a terrible room right next to elevator. I’m sure it wasn’t the last room available! But room was nice.
