La Villa des Consuls - Gîte de Tourisme de Charme

Installée dans un bâtiment ancien et rénové voici quelques années, cette villa des consuls offre un hébergement de qualité pour un prix plus que raisonnable. L'accès depuis la rue principale se fait par une rampe très praticable mais qui ne sera pas toujours le plus aisé notamment pour ceux qui ont du mal à se déplacer. Pas de stationnement sur place mais des places existent dans un garage tout proche pour un coût abordable. A l'intérieur, des escaliers permettent d'accéder aux chambres. Hormis ce léger désagrément (dont vous êtes parfaitement informé à la réservation) le bâtiment présente le charme de l'ancien (poutre apparentes, tomettes, pierres, petit jardinet) et une décoration de bon goût. On apprécie le calme du lieu et l'accueil impeccable du personnel. Notre chambre est spacieuse avec tout le confort et les équipements requis. Petit déjeuner continental avec des produits frais et locaux. Une adresse à recommander pour un séjour sarladais.

It was perfect for us. We received a warm welcome, made some friends, and watched the swallows at dusk from our private deck eating Fois Gras and drinking the local wine. (Thank you, Valentin!!!) We kayaked, ate, toured prehistoric caves, and Medieval castles. And Josephine Baker’s Chateau was 15 minutes away. A perfect base and we look forward to our return!

The accommodation was excellent with all we needed for a perfect short stay . We could self cater which was perfect and we had a wonderful outside seating, dining, sunbathing area as well which was lovely for relaxing in the sun or out. Our room was Richelieu with excellent air conditioning in our bedroom and extremely spacious.We were within a very short walk of the centre with lots of restaurants ,shops and bars all around us . Our hire car could be effortlessly parked just a short walk away from the hot in dedicated secure parking. All the staff were extremely helpful and friendly and spoke perfect English. We will definitely recommend

La Villa des Consuls is in a perfect location to explore the city of Sarlat. It's just above the main shopping street, so everything is within easy walking distance, yet it is very quiet and private. Although our apartment was somewhat dated, it was very clean and offered everything we needed and wanted at a reasonable price. Communication was excellent via timely texts, as well as great directions for getting to the parking garage. We would definitely stay here again.

My husband and I had a wonderful time at La Villa des Consuls! It was a great stop on our honeymoon trip in a perfect location in Sarlat. Sophie was super helpful and had wonderful recommendations for us during our visit. We stayed several nights in the Richelieu apartment which had everything we needed for our stay.

Ideally located just off the Main Street in Sarlat . It is an old historical house sympathetically restored and renovated with a modern interior accommodating 4 guest bedrooms and 6 self catering apartments. There is a 2 minute walk up an incline to the security gates to gain entrance so the place feels very secure . There is no lift but a staff member helped carry our cases up the stairs to out twin bedded room which was lovely and spacious with a view of the inner courtyard . The room was lovely and clean with comfy able beds , a kitchenette area with fridge , microwave and tea making , plus a safe .Breakfast was excellent , croissants , fruit , yoghurt , with the option of an egg and toast . The only downside to staying here is the garage for parking is a 5 to 10 minute walk along the street . We arrived on market day ( Saturday ) when no cars are allowed. So we left the luggage in the car , till late in the day when the street opens to cars again . There is no parking in the street so only a drop off for luggage is allowed. I would agree with the many positive comments and recommend one to stay here .

La Villas des Consuls in fantastically located and an easy stay. The accommodation provided everything we wanted, large room, spacious bathroom and even a little sitting area. Reception and breakfast were simple and straight forward. A reliable and well-situated choice, super close to all the walking in town.

Superbe gite. Tres bon emplacement qui donne sur la rue de la republique. Avec acces direct au marché le mercredi et samedi. Au coeur de la cité historique. Nous avions l'appartement Medicis. Plus que parfait pour 4 (nous etions 3). Tres bonne litterie, decoration magnifique. Cuisine parfaitement equipée. Petit dejeuner complet pris en terrasse. Et surtout, la cerise sur le gateau : Valentin est un hote charmant, serviable et de tres bon conseil. La villa dispose d'un parking privé payant et tres securisé à 5 min de marche. Nous recommandons à 100%

Spacious, comfortable & clean apartments in centre of beautiful medieval town. Easy stroll to shops & restaurants. Friendly & helpful staff, very pleasant stay. A great base for exploring the surrounding Dordogne region. Highly recommend.
