Wir waren zwei Nächte in der La Quinta Lodge. Ausser uns waren nur ein oder zwei Zimmer belegt, so dass wir fast die komplette Anlage für uns hatten. Alle Mitarbeiter sind äusserst freundlich und zuvorkommend und alles ist sehr sauber. Die umgebende Natur wirkt verwildert und ist dadurch wunderschön. Es hat unzählige Vögel, die regelmässig zur Fütterung kommen. Auch der Fluss, in dem man baden kann ist toll. Leider scheint sich niemand mehr um die Anlage zu kümmern. Die Häuschen wirken heruntergekommen, das Licht im Inneren ist schrecklich, die Matratzen durchgelegen. Room Service gibt’s nur alle drei Tage oder auf Verlangen. Die mit eigentümlichen Vorhängen bedeckten Terrassen laden nicht zum verweilen ein. Furchtbar fand ich auch die Plastikverkleidungen, die man überall findet und die sich nicht mit einer Natur Lodge vereinbaren lassen. Mitten in der Anlage stehen noch Reste einer Bar und zwei völlig verrostete Fitnessgeräte, bei denen man sich fragt, was die da sollen.

Nous avons séjourné 2 nuits pour visiter la région. La propriété est incroyable avec ses jardins pour voir les oiseaux et les grenouille. La chambre était grande, propre et spacieuse mais pas très moderne. La climatisation est disponible ce qui fait du bien quand il fait chaud et humide. Seul point négatif, la nourriture n’est pas bonne que cela soit le petit-déjeuner ou le repas du soir. Je vous conseiller de ne pas manger sur place le soir si vous pouvez car c’est cher (25 euros par personne)

Nous avons passé une nuit étape dans cet hôtel. Chambre et salle de bain spacieuses propres et bien équipées. Terrasse sympathique avec hamac et fauteuils pour écouter tous les cris des animaux, oiseaux et singes. Personnel accueillant et sympathique

This is quite a quirky place, with lots of jolly pictures and fun signs like “Monkey Avenue” The room was a little basic, with poor lighting and shower facilities, but as we were only staying one night, this didn’t really bother us. Nice walk around the grounds and the bird feeding stations were fab, with lots of really pretty birds coming to visit. Food was fine. It was very busy over the Easter holidays, which meant that there wasn’t much room at the pool. Overall, a pleasant stay.

Le buffet est overprice , toute la nourriture goute la meme chose .. le sel. La piscine n’est pas propre du tout. Le reste est bien. Les chambre sont propres avec air climatisé Les employés de la salle a manger n’ont vraiment pas le gout de travailler sont bêtes et n’ont pas le sourire.

What an absolutely beautiful place to stay. Our room, Heron, overlooked the river with floor to ceiling windows. It was so peaceful with only the sound of the river flowing past. The room itself was spotlessly clean with incredibly comfortable beds. The food was simple but excellent - very fresh and tasty produce both morning and evening. The staff were incredible. Special thanks to Marcela on reception, for whom nothing was too much trouble and who went out of her way to help. The lodge has a feeding station for birds and seeing the incredible birds so close up was a truly magical experience. Do go, you won't be disappointed.

Nice hotel in a beautiful setting. We stayed for 2 nights while visiting Sarapiqui and were very happy with our visit. The grounds are really nice and set in the rainforest. Very cool vibe, especially at night all lit up. Nice pool area and lots of siting areas where you can hang with a drink or a book. Our room was nice, a bit small but comfortable. AC worked great, which is a must in this part of Costa Rica. Only complaint is the bathroom, which was outdated and could really use some TLC. Management, if you’re listening, upgrade the bathrooms! Food was ok. Breakfast is a buffet with several options. We ate dinner one night and it was fine - nothing special. All in all, a good place for a couple of days in an area of Costa Rica not overrun with tourists.

Gruselig, Werkstatt neben dem Pool, laute Straße nahe Zimmer 18, Einsatz von Laubbläsern in einer Ökolodge...ich fasse es nicht....Frühstück bisher das schlechteste in Costa Rica, pünktlich um 8:30Uhr ist bereits das kümmerliche Buffet incl. Saft abgeräumt, Zimmer nicht besonders sauber, Holzwurm in Bettgestell, Plastik Efeu und andere Geschmacklosigkeiten auf dem Gelände, viel Deko, die guten Bewertungen kann ich nicht nachvollziehen, absolut keine Empfehlung, die Anlage wirkt ungepflegt und viele vom Personal lustlos, das einzig positive sind die vielen Tiere, die man sehen kann....

We spent two nights in the gorgeous Heron Room, over looking the rainforest and the river. This hotel is surrounded with be lovely gardens and several trails to walk. We loved wandering around the property enjoying the beautiful flowers and the many brightly coloured birds. Twice a day the staff put out fruit and seeds for the birds and you can watch them up close. I got some amazing photos of beautiful birds! It was incredible to see! The pool area is very nice and the restaurant has a lovely breakfast buffet. We ate all our meals at the hotel restaurant and the food was great. The reception area is beautiful and decorated with lots of stained glass, flowers, colourful furniture and nice seating areas. We loved this hotel and highly recommend it! Ask for the HERON room…in our opinion, the best room at the hotel! Spacious, rocking chairs to sit in to enjoy the view, and air conditioned.
