Secret Gem Suites

Para poder acceder al airbnb necesitas bajar caminando 10 minutos, y tienes que caminar otros 15 minutos si quieres llegar al pueblo(oía) más cercano

El lugar tenía un aspecto descuidado. Faltaban detalles que hicieran nuestra estancia más satisfactoria. El cuarto de baño permanecíó inundado los cuatro días que estuvimos, resultaba tremendamente incómodo acercarse a lavabo que era donde se acumulaba todo el agua. Aunque el lugar se pagó para tres personas, había detalles que hacían más complicada la vida al tercer huésped (tipo de cama, colchón aplastado en un lado que regulábamos con toallas..., falta de la tercera silla, tercera butaca en la terraza...) La limpieza fue tan inexistente que el último día las hormigas campaban a sus anchas. Se limitaban a vaciar la papelera y de los cuatro días sólo uno nos hicieron las camas. El aire acondicionado no funcionó las dos últimas noches. Sin embargo debo señalar que fueron muy amables el primer día que nos permitieron la entrada antes de las 10 de la mañana. Nos preguntaban con amabilidad qué tal todo y aunque habíamos enviado una foto con el agua estancada en el suelo del baño nunca se contestó al problema; vimos que no había ninguna intención de solucionarlo, por lo que desistimos de plantear quejas que generarán falsas expectativas...

Para el que no conoce Santorini, ya les aviso que es normal llegar al hotel, B&B o posada y tener que caminar o bajar escaleras para llegar a tu habitación, es parte del viaje, pero si llegas de noche a SECRET GEM, que está justo en OIA, (la bahía por excelencia adonde ver los atardeceres de Santorini, adonde baja toda la isla, adonde los yates, notes, barcos se aposta para semejante espectáculo, ahí está este lugar soñado,) es difícil encuentres la rececpicon, así que chatea antes con Mr Nikolas quien es extremadamente amable y atento para que te espero en la puerta del local que rentan botes y listo, él te llevará a tu habitación. Desde tu habitación vas a ver el atardecer y si estás con ganas de subir o bajar escaleras no dejes de conocer Amouni, ahí arriba de adonde estás parando. TODO BELLO

Esperienza più brutta di tutta la mia vita ! Siamo arrivati e l’host era in ritardo di 20 minuti. Errore mio che su booking non ho visto che le suites erano sotto la città di Oia, ad Amoudi. Non ci sono parcheggi ma bisogna salire con gli asini oppure farsi una scalinata di 20 min. La stanza era diversa dalle foto su booking (su booking dovrebbe essere la foto numero 38). Purtroppo su trip advisor non mi fa caricare la foto originale di booking. Sporca… abbiamo trovato manate sui vetri e una macchia sulle lenzuola… Quando l’host ci ha portato in camera avevo subito detto che la stanza non centrava nulla con le foto di booking ma lui mi ha detto che non avrò guardato bene cosa ho prenotato e mi ha alzato la voce quando ho fatto notare questa cosa. Sono rimasta una notte, mi sono fatta rimborsare da booking la metà. Dalle foto potete vedere come doveva essere la stanza (unicamente photoshop) e quello che è veramente. Le recensioni erano positive… ma ho imparato a guardare la nazionalità delle recensioni.

My wife and I have had the most wonderful experience in this hotel. Everything just perfectly prepared, clean and beautiful. Nikolas the hotel supervisor was very helpful and gentle, he did all he could to make sure we were comfortable. I extremely recommend this hotel, for sure.

We stayed one night in Yard suite, which is a little (but beautiful) house on the port - painted in pastel green. The place is really amazing, you are literally on the port, just a few steps away from the caldeira. The suite is very comfortable, super well renovated and decorated with good taste, with a tiny indoor pool which we found very relaxing and original. There is a terrace where you can sit and have your drinks and meals. This is an awesome place, near the stairs, but sufficiently private and just two steps from the fish restaurants. We stayed there with our two kids, aged 2.5 and 4.5. We have arranged their bed with some additional pillows for a 100% safe night. Chris and his wife were warm hosts. There welcomed us in a very professional manner, helped with the booking of a table for dinner and of a private boat tour. The breakfast was included and very generous. We recommend without any hesitation.

The owner Chris and his wife are AMAZING hosts. They make sure all of your needs are met and give you the best tips for places to go on the island and coordinate catamaran rides & attractions for you. The basket of breakfast is so tasty and so nice to get every morning. Even the housekeepers are great. There is no place on the island with a more BEAUTIFUL view from your deck than the Secret Gems Suites. I highly recommend this place and will be back again!!

The hotel would not answer two phone calls prior to my arrival, treated me as if I was a burden when I called to discuss the airline's cancelation, and refused to refund any of my stay for a fault not my own.

My partner and myself stayed here for 7 nights in April 2023 (after taking the Blue Star Ferry from Piraeus near Athens to Santorini). Great location indeed, being located right in the beautiful Amoudi Bay. The actually quite small apartment was just OK (most of the space inside being taken up by the big bed and jacuzzi) , the breakfast which was brought to our apartment each morning by the supervisor was really amazing but the highlight for me was actually walking the 300 steps from Amoudi Bay below all the way up to Oia✌✌✌
