We booked a room at Agave and honestly, the view was stunning — especially at sunset. For this location and this price, it’s a rare find in Santorini. The room was clean, simple, and quiet. Check-in was smooth with a code, and communication through WhatsApp was fast and helpful. If you’re looking for a great base with an amazing view and no unnecessary extras, this place is perfect. 100% value for money!

OVERWHELMING stench of sewage/clogged pipes in 3x rooms (discussed with neighbouring guests) which was horrific. Manager instantly turned hostile and refused to help when questioned about it - very rude. I tried to block the drains with towels to stop the smell and we had to keep the fan on in the bathroom and keep it all shut up. Otherwise it was clean & basic, breakfast was decent. The younger colleague was very kind and we appreciate his hospitality after our encounter with the manager. Not like the photos at all, wouldn’t recommend.

Couple - Room number 7 Pros: - Receptionist is really friendly and helpful - Location is nice - Breakfast is cool and different - Shower is amazing - AC is strong - Close to the Bus station - Clean Cons: - You have like 3 minutes walk to reach the taxi with all the luggage - No view at all from our room - An old building in front of the hotel - Mattress is so stiff and not comfortable - Terrace is shared - Walls are thin and you could hear a lot of noises The professional images/website could give you a wrong impression of the place. It's not luxurious, it's basic.

All I heard was how beautiful Santorini is and how amazing the views are from the hotels. If that’s what you are expecting that’s a big reason to ovoid this place. The pictures on their site and others are false advertising. Let’s start with the walk to the “Boutique” hotel. You are not off the caldera walk. You must walk inside it through a path littered with beer can and garbage. The hotel is directly across from an abandon building which is an eye sore. If you don’t have a room on the top floor you will have no view of the beauty below. We had top floor room 1. We arrive and we’re informed there was no reception personnel for the day! Note we never saw anyone for 4 nights!!!! We were greeted by the cleaning women who very little english! The room wasn’t ready as we were early but that was ok. But when room was ready we entered and were overwhelmed by the smell of raw sewage. Yes raw sewage! The room was so small we would pass each other. The shower doesn’t have hot water until you turn on the heater! The water from both shower and sink was salt water!!!! The first night I put on the electric to heat the water. 5 minutes later all the lights went out. It turned out to be a grid failure for about 2 hours. Yet here’s the thing. All the out door lights were on, and the occupied rooms and reception all had lights! Why is this? They had emergency back up and room 1 did not! We’re we offered anything? Nope! 3 days later I get text saying the power will be done for 2 hours. Ok fine the. I ask did you replace battery in emergency back up again no they didn’t and nothing offered to make us happy! Outside each room are rusted buckets to capture the water from the AC units. Not outside our room! Night one we came back to a puddle outside our door! I had to take a bucket from another room for reminder of stay! As for the view it was ok but obstructed by the power lines and of course that abandoned building below! I’d avoid this place!

After spending a few days in the hotel (I will come back to this below…) we were forced to cancel part of the stay and return because our 1 year old daughter was sick. We asked the hotel management (who is not on site and whom we have never seen) for a free cancellation of the nights not honored and they accepted. They asked us to go to pr booking, the reservation site, except that we have been waiting for a week now and we have no further news from them! Even Booking can't contact them on the subject! We warned that we could only go home if they agreed but also said that if they didn't accept, we understood because they didn't have to. We needed this refund in order to pay for flight change fees. What is the point of accepting to go back on your promises?! Regarding the hotel itself, unless you have a tight budget and absolutely want to be in the center of Immerovigli, move on. The rooms are pretty good but very small! The only window in the room overlooks the passageways and everyone can see into your room! Whether with or without a sea view! No privacy. On their site, it says “1 bottle of water per day” and when we arrive “the policy has changed” and we are only allowed one bottle even though the tap water is not drinkable ( great with a baby) Maintenance is pretty average. The shower head fell on my head more than once; the cleaning is sketchy and our room was not closed correctly afterwards; wifi is almost non-existent. The only positive point was the staff on site (the receptionist and the cleaning lady) who were nevertheless helpful and friendly.
