The Cliff Reflections - Adults Only

During our 4-day stay at Cliff Santorini (aka Cliff Reflections), hosted by Markos in beautiful Santorini, we experienced a range of issues that unfortunately diminished the joy we anticipated. Upon check-in, we noticed yellowish-green markings in various places. This mold, due to this apartment's humid conditions, infiltrated not just the apartment but our clothes within our suitcase, forcing us to discard many items despite numerous washings. Disturbingly, the blame was somewhat reversed when we were accused of leaving a “yellow” mark on their kitchen counter, showing an apparent disregard for the root of the problem—mold.The apartment's condition was noticeably worn, with many visible black scuff marks on walls, doors, and furniture, revealing a lack of maintenance. Bedding was thin and overly used, affecting our comfort during rest.The serenity we sought was majorly disrupted by neighboring events, specifically outdoor wedding celebrations on back-to-back nights, that were overwhelmingly loud with their outdoor professional sound system and DJ talking/yelling party noises, etc. This lasted from before sunset, until after midnight, ruling out romantic evenings. Markos indicated this is normal for Santorini, suggesting a level of regular disturbance in the area around Cliff Reflections. Though Markos did attempt to address the noise by contacting the neighbors and eventually the police who came after midnight. Then the departing guests, continued to disturb our peace well into the night, including as they angrily passed by Cliff Reflections, turned up their car stereos. We understand that some issues are beyond the host’s control. But Cliff Reflections which is owned and operated by Markos and his family, there seemed to be a lack of concern for the more severe underlying problems like mold, and a lack of preventive measures for possible disturbances.

First of all, the owners, Marcos and Ani, are great people, they did all the best making us feeling like home, like their best and old friends. Also, they did all the best to book, last moment, an apartment for our friends and recommended us restaurants, Location is quiet, peaceful, with an amazing view of the caldera, rooms are very clean and nice furnished. We booked a small car, so it was very easy to get any beach, restaurants, villages or to go to Fira. Anyway, there is a bus stop few minutes from accommodation. We really loved this place and we will definitely come back.
