We used Easyjet holidays for this holiday and the transfer from the airport is a long drive on very winding roads, so a taxi transfer or car hire would be advisable in my opinion, over the option of the shuttle transfer offered by Easyjet as it drops off at other hotels which serves to prolong the journey. Mangia Hotel is about 2.5 miles out from Santa Teresa Gallura and is in a very quiet location, again I would recommend having a hire car to get about. There is a small supermarket about 10 mins walk from the hotel. The hotel is very attractive, only two stories high and set in beautiful grounds, looking out to Capo Testa. The grounds are well maintained and very clean. The housekeeping staff were efficient and polite. The staff on reception were helpful especially when we were trying to sort out a taxi to go on the boat trip to the Maddellena archieapelago. Erma Taxis were brilliant, extremely punctual, polite and spoke English. Once we had used them we then had their number and just whats app them to book another taxi back to the hotel and then for another day out we had. We opted for an upgraded room with Easyjet which was allegedly a larger room with a Juliet balcony with a sea view. If this was a larger room I dread to think how small a standard room is, it was one of the smallest hotel bedrooms we have ever stayed in, and reminiscent of a city hotel room, not a holiday resort bedroom, but that said it did have a Juliet balcony and a beautiful sea view. The room had very efficient air conditioning which was very welcome, one double wardrobe with three small drawers, the room really lacked storage space in our opinion. The bed was remarkably comfortable and you are supplied with a coffee machine, kettle and fridge. The hotel also supplies two bottles of water each day, which was a nice touch. We did have an issue with the shower in the bathroom as the two sliding doors did not meet in the middle and if you were not careful the bathroom floor would flood when using the shower. Numerous times we had to use towels to dry the floor. We ended up tying the door shut with the dressing gown tie to stop the flood. Upon arrival the rainfall shower head was hanging out of the wall, we reported this to reception and it was repaired almost immediately. There are two pools at this hotel, the main large pool is for families with children and there is a smaller infinity pool which is for adults only, a much quieter area and cooler too as it is more open and has stunning views across the bay towards Capo Testa. This was the pool we opted for and we loved it. I spent so much time in the corner of the pool looking out at the view, just taking it all in, it was wonderful. There is bar service to both pools all day and the staff are very friendly and polite. Thee is a small beach area which is used by the hotel, but getting into the sea for a swim is not easy, it is very rocky and you will need beach shows for safety also so that you do not stand on any sea
