There are 2 hotels joined, we were in the santa ponsa park side but used all facilities of both. I was apprehensive about this hotel after reading some reviews but so glad I ignored them. We went as a couple, mid thirties and stayed as all inclusive guests. We arrived at 9.30pm and was shown where to get food straight away and given our room key. We went to our room which was probably the smallest double room I've ever been in but hey ho, we just dealt with it. We then realised there was no fridge and went to reception to request one due to medication needing to be refrigerated, however they did say we'd have to wait fir a 'technician' the next day so we bought ice, filled the sink and made that do! We were surprised to find the pool snack area open until midnight which I thought was great, especially when you've been out having a few tipples 😂 We regularly ate in the hotel, I found the food selection good and there was always something new to try every night. I don't understand all the negative reviews for the food but can only assume it's people who rarely venture out if their chosen few standard meal selection. For those who are quite fussy there was always fresh baguettes, pizzas, pastas and fries with burgers and hotdogs etc in the pool bar. The food was well above my expectations, we usually go all Inclusive and find ourselves eating out but this was not the case. The 2nd day there I approached the desk about a fridge again and expressed that I needed it for my medication and the lady on the desk literally took over and got it sorted there and then which I really appreciated. The biggest gripe I have with this hotel is the towels on sunbeds policy. At around 8am every morning there's a queue to grab a sunbed. If you put your towel on and go for breakfast which is what most people do, they remove them, however, being in a couple you can either have a sunbed and one person stay with them and one eat alone, or do not have breakfast at all which is ridiculous. If you do not queue for a sunbed at 8am, there is none left when you have had breakfast. It's a really stupid policy and needs looking at because when paying for a week at a thousand pounds each, you are entitled to have the use of ALL facilities, and if this hotel can't provide all guests with all facilities, it really needs to consider less guests or less money. I found it unbelievable that having paid all that money I couldn't use the pool or sunbeds because of the attendant removing towels. If there are guests leaving towels who are clearly not using them (ie, not at breakfast and don't return in a certain amount of time) then remove the towels but the way it is atm is unfair and depriving guests of using all facilities they have paid for. I believe if the sunbed situation was better this would have been a great holiday, but sadly the stress of not being able to use all facilities really ruined it. (See pic of queue every day)
