Globales Playa Santa Ponsa

Had a good stay here. Staff were very nice and helpful any time we had dealings with them. My only issue was with the size of the shower. A small child would have problems showering in that, never mind a fully grown adult. Could do with some more chairs and tables on the outside area at the pool. Restaurants and pizzeria is across the road in Pionero Santa Ponsa Park. Food was ok. Pretty much as you expect from an all inclusive.

Arrived at the hotel 29th sept to a very warm welcome from the receptionist lady. We were checked in quickly and given 4 plastic beakers to use while around the pool or during the day. Room big enough a little dated, shower cubicle really small, they could get rid of the shower cubicle and have it as a wet room instead. Room kept spotlessly clean, bedding and towels immaculate. Our restaurant was closed so we had the option to use the 2 sister hotel's just across the road. We would get dressed every evening and go to either one of the other hotel's for our evening meal, it felt like going out for a fancy meal each evening. The food and drinks were amazing in all hotel's and lots of choice. Entertainment on each evening. The beach was a 2 minute walk and shops and spar supermarket on the way. Got the bus to Palma 4.50 euros one way took about 30 mins.. Weather was fantastic, seen some beautiful sun rises and sun set's. Every member of staff so friendly and professional. Ignore any negative reviews. Yes rooms dated but spotless Shower cubicle small but spotless. Would definitely return, great resort.

Had very mixed feelings about this holiday. The hotel is very clean and the staff friendly but the rooms are very dated. We did have aircon and a balcony overlooking the pool but the room really did need an update. The bathroom was very small, especially the shower cubicle but at the end of the day we only used the room for sleeping and changing so didnt let it bother us. During the day all drinks are served in plastic glasses and the all inclusive drinks are not good. Local brews as expected but apart from the beer we were impressed. Food wise the buffet had choices but as the week went on, it became very same-ish. Guests can use the facilities of the other 2 Globales hotels over the road and I must say the lunch there that we tried on 2 occasions was very good. Of the 3 hotels our pool was the quietest so several of the guests from over the road came over to use ours as theirs were very crowded and there was always a race for the sunbeds! Santa Ponsa is small and was quiet when we were there. Nice beach and buses easy to use except for the scram to board - dont think the Mallorcans understanding queing! All in all a pleasant week and bearing in mind the price, I suppose we cant really complain. Would I go back? To Majorca? yes, Santa Ponsa? I doubt it, The Playa Santa Ponsa, No.

Arrived at hotel receptionist had no smile or welcome for us said she will have to check if the room was ready although was after the 2pm check in time , not a good start . We didn’t expect too much from the rooms as had read previous review that was dated etc , but seeing it was something else !! The room stunk of damp and mold as soon as you entered , the shower was basically a tiny square plastic thing on floor which flooded the whole tiny bathroom each time was used . When using the toilet you were practically sitting in the shower , bathroom was dirty and all moldy at back of toilet hence the awful smell ! There was 1 plug socket to use in whole room , Their was the tiniest tv I’ve ever seen literally touching the ceiling. On thé all inclusive option we had to carry plastic cups around with you all day between the three hotels in order for you to get a drink . The drinks were awful , extremely watered down ! Cocktails on offer was just fruit juice if you wanted a propper cocktail had to pay €5:90 even on AI . Was advised could use any of the sister hotels during our stay for all facilities. We chose to use ponsa park for our lunch and tea , on fifth day a lady working at the restaurant approached our table in front of all other diners whilst we were eating and began to shout you can’t eat here ! We were extremely embarrassed and shocked I advised her we had been here for last 4 days as we were told on the all inclusive you can use the sister hotels she carried on to shout no no who told you , I had to ask her to leave the table stop shouting and speak to me when I had finished eating !! I was extremely upset by this and her attitude was awful and rude many other guests dining came over to ask if we were ok and they couldn’t believe the way she was . We then chose to eat out for the remainder of our holiday at a cost to ourselves to save any further embarrassment. We did try to complain to the receptionist and ask to speak to the manager, she got on the phone to contact them and all I could understand was her telling them that it’s the English the English !! And nobody bothered to come to speak to us !! Awful customer service . The entertainment is on for 1 hour a night and is in ponsa park where all 3 hotels had to go . Getting served at the bar was a nightmare the queues where 30 people deep at a time and only had 3 bar staff on to serve the whole of the 3 hotels . The rest of the entertainment was awful a girl coming round to each table asking people to suck coffee beans through a straw into cups and see who could do the most in 30 seconds and the prize for the winner a cheap bottle of cava that was available on the AI 🙈 The pool area barely gets any sun due to lots of trees and the pool is extremely cold . Their are not enough sun loungers for all guests and if your gone longer than 2 hours the rude life guard with the long hair removes your towels and throws them in a old crate , baring in mind to eat lunch you have to leave the hotel a

I have just learned that my parents who have stayed with you for a couple of times have had a bad experience. Twice now they have had money going missing from their rooms on both occasions and yet nothing was done about it when it was reported to the manager. He had the attitude like he didn't care the thing is here now you been informed that money had gone missing now if they have done this to my parents how many others have they done this too???? It all adds up at the end off they day and my parents always leave a lovely tip on there last day for them which the cleaners have missed out on twice as they were the ones with access to the room. Even a couple of items of clothing had disappeared. Now I do not recommend staying at this hotel unless you wish to be robbed by a couple cleaners. They will not be staying at any off your hotels as this is a global hotel.

The hotel is very close to the beach, the hotel pool is pleasantly large even for swimming training, the room was small with a very small bathroom, the equipment of the room and bathroom old, but functional. Beds clean and comfortable. The food was excellent, the selection was wide, fish, vegetables and fruit were on offer every day. The staff was nice, the animation program was also very pleasant.
