This was my third stay at Oceana. As a Hilton Hhonors Diamond member they honored my request for an upgrade to a room with an Ocean View. The valet Paul did a great job helping with my luggage. But there were a few snags that need to be corrected. When I turned on the TV in the bedroom nothing happened. Someone had to come up to reboot the TV which took 10 minutes. There were few places to plug in devices. Had someone come to help me hunt for them. Couldn’t find any. But the main problem was terrible service in the restaurant. Went there for breakfast. I was being picked up in 45 minutes. I was the only customer when I came in. Told waitress my time limit. Ordered coffee, water with lemon and an omelette. Got coffee and cream, water but no lemon. After about 20 minutes I waved down waitress to get lemon. 35 minutes had passed since I order omelette and no omelette. I waived someone down and asked for omelette and check. Check had charge of $7 for an unknown beverage that I didn’t have. Finally got omelette with less than 10 minutes to speed eat it. Didn’t have time to eat the accompanying salad. As my ride was picking me up at the curb, the guy who runs the restaurant appeared on the curb to apologize and told me he’d not charge me for meal and would look into bad service and address it.
