Melia Llana Beach Resort & Spa

Had a nice stay at the hotel but it took ages to check in and the receptionist wasn't very welcoming. Got to our room which was towards the back of the resort overlooking the road at the back and the other hotel, which wasn't what we expected especially as it was for a special occasion. All the bedroom doors could do with a paint as the bottoms were all peeling off and the table on our balcony was broken. We did mention this to the receptionist and the customer services rep walking around asking if all was good or if there were any issues, but nothing was done and table was still broken when we left. The room was clean and tidy but the fridge drinks were only filled up three times during our week stay which wasn't very good. The hotel was clean and tidy and there was always beds available around the pool. The food in the buffet was okay but very samey but the food in the restaurants was very good and we had a lovely time during our evening visit. It was only about 25 mins from the airport so a nice distance and everything ran on time. We visited Santa Maria for one day which was nice, not much there but was good to go down to see the fish caught and also we had a drink and some nachos which were nice but rather expensive. The markets there are all selling the same things generally wooden items, jewellery, clothing and bags. All in all holiday was a nice chillout, staff within the hotel were friendly and it was a nice vibe as being an adult only hotel kept the noise down to a minimum which was great. We have been to Boa Vista three times previously, once to the Karamboa and twice to the Tourag, both lovely hotels but on our last trip was very noisy with loads of children running about and Brits shouting and being rowdy, so this put us off and that's why we thought we would try Sal. Would we come back here again, probably not.

Lentino very good with the activity around the pool, with the water aerobics, very good at getting people motivated. 👍 He has a lot of energy very polite very helpful 👌. He also does the water sports 😀 😎 has a lot of energy good fun.also helpful . I will say this is not a 5* star hotel .The Italian restaurant was awful 😖. The BBQ was good but the wind made it very cold to sit out 🥶. The food in the buffet gets very repetitive also cold a lot of the time . I will say that 90 percent of the staff are lovely just a few that look like don't want to be there . If you need help with anything talk to Mys she is great always has a smile 😃. Comes around most days at the pool to check all is good 👍

Lantino did very good activities by the pool very friendly staff very clean would come again. Right next to the beach plenty of bars and the rooms were tidied everyday. Fast service at the bars and restaurants for drinks. Plenty of food options and a vegetarian section.
