Hotel Riu Cabo Verde - All Inclusive Adults Only

Quase tudo é bom. Não gostei das cadeiras na praia que denotam alguma idade e teem um aspeto inaceitável para um cinco estrelas. As cadeiras da piscina são insuficientes para a procura. A comida é boa, os quartos são bons, os empregados são simpáticos as bebidas são de qualidade. Este hotel é só para adultos, minha primeira experiência é gostei.

We’ve just returned from an incredible 10-day stay at Riu Cabo Verde on the Island of Sal, Cape Verde and couldn’t be happier with our experience.From the moment we arrived, the staff were polite, friendly, and couldn’t have been more helpful. Whether it was at reception, in the restaurants, or around the pool, everyone went out of their way to make sure we were well looked after.The entertainment team was outstanding – so hardworking and full of energy from morning to night. The evening entertainment was excellent and varied, with Abba tribute acts, African dance shows, karaoke, quizzes, There really was something for everyone.The highlight of the week was the RIU Party Nights, which rotate between NEON and WHITE themes. We were lucky enough to attend both during our stay, and they were absolutely brilliant. The entertainment area was completely transformed to match the themes, with incredible lighting, dancers, and a top-class DJ who kept the energy high and the crowd buzzing. The atmosphere was electric, and it really felt like a proper party – definitely not to be missed!The food was another high point of our stay. There was so much choice, and everything was beautifully presented and fresh. We ate at two of the three onsite restaurants. The Italian was a bit of a letdown for us – buffet-style starters and desserts, with only the main course served. The fish I had was lovely, but I would’ve preferred a fully à la carte experience.The Steak restaurant, by contrast, was fantastic – set right by the beach with views of the sea, it had a laid-back, luxurious feel. All courses were served at the table, and the service was excellent.One thing that really stood out was the cleanliness. Despite the hotel being at full capacity, everything was spotless. The food areas were immaculate, and the waiters and waitresses worked incredibly hard to keep your glasses full and plates cleared efficiently. The groundskeeping team were out early every morning, emptying bins, tidying leaves, pruning trees, and ensuring the lawns looked perfect. The whole resort always looked picture-perfect.To break up the sunbathing, we also booked a few excursions through TUI, which were spread across the week and gave us some amazing experiences.We did a half-day Lemon Shark experience, where we were accompanied by a marine biologist who explained so much about the sharks and their natural habitat – truly fascinating and respectful of the environment.The catamaran trip that included a light lunch, prosecco, beer, wine etc and even African dancing lessons – such a fun, relaxed afternoon out on the water.A half-day 4x4 island tour, which was the perfect pace. We visited several key sights, including the Blue Eye, the island's desert Mirage, and ended with a relaxing float in the Salt Lakes. We were so glad we chose the half-day option rather than the full-day – it felt more leisurely and less rushed.It was also great to learn that TUI offsets 10% of the excursion fees towards cons

Loved our stay at this hotel . It had everything you could wish for .in a holiday Room was lovely and spacious and clean with well stocked up bar and nice African decor . Staff were friendly super service in all areas and the entertainment team were super . I was especially impressed with the food and a la carte restaurant choices and the neon party and shows were fantastic . First class in all areas . This is my 4th holiday in a Riu hotel they are my favourite for an all inclusive holiday . Only thing missing was i was unable to get an iron from reception I would have expected more availability in a 5 star hotel there is only 1 for the whole resort and I there was too much karaoke later in the evenings

Nice hotel, food was very nice and would recommend booking the steak restaurant if you go, however a few incidents are likely to stop us going back in the future and I would advise being careful. Firstly we were welcomed to our room most nights with cockroaches in the corners which left us a little uncomfortable sleeping in the nights. However, our main incident came from an employee of the business stealing a lot of cash out of our room, while being trusted to clean our room, and the procedure that followed. We went to the director and spoke to him about what had happened, where no one had broken into our room or been in except the maids that day, and when we came back from the pool to go out we went to get our money and a lot had been taken. The manager said he would question each person who had been in the room and get back to us a day later, which gave us hope, however after 3 days and multiple times asking at reception to speak to him we heard nothing. Finally, on our last day, we were able to speak with another manager (after having to ask again, no one approaching us), who said to us that because no one admitted to taking the money, they would not give us our money back. This was very disappointing as it seems no one would admit straight away to taking money, and the argument we heard back was that they have over 750 employees so “they cannot look into the background of each one”, which again is disappointing to hear when these people are being trusted around your personal belongings day in day out. Therefore, we would not be comfortable going back to this hotel as after this incident we were very anxious every time we left the room in case we left anything of value out, and we knew our belongings were being looked through throughout the cleaning process. I would urge anyone who goes to this hotel to make sure everything is safely placed away, even of a nominal value, as we felt our belongings weren’t safe. This being said, other parts of the hotel were nice and relaxing and it was nice to be around.

Was wary of the odd negative comments. The accommodation was good, staff excellent, could do with a few more sunbeds round the pool, but there are plenty on the beach, with palm trees for shade, and a bar on the beach. Riu funanna next door had the entertainment, which meant cabo verde was quiet. And riu palace had the waterpark, all of which you can use. To top it all, the all inclusive buffet restaurant is the best I have had in 20 years of doing all inclusive.
