Maravilhosa pousada, a melhor em localização, limpeza, café da manhã delicioso, recomendo! À vista do quarto que ficamos é indescritível, estacionamento ao lado, muito fácil, jantamos no restaurante varandas do alantejo, um polvo e bochechas de porco! 🙏👍

We had a lovely stay at this small hotel in the quiet & scenic town of Marvao. Our room was well sized with a full bathroom (with a whirlpool bath & bidet) & good toiletries. We stayed 2 nights which was adequate to explore the local sights, catch the glorious sunset & explore the nearby region. The first time driving up the tiny streets to the top of the hill, by the castle, where the hotel is located, is a bit hair raising, but on subsequent trips it becomes easier. Breakfast is simple but good, with bread, pastries, fruit & cheeses & local meats etc. The hotel recommended the 2 restaurants owned by the same family & we ate there on each of our nights in Marvao. Excellent. We didn’t use the jacuzzi -it was 35 degrees on the days we visited- but I’m sure it is lovely in cooler weather. The roof top terrace with panoramic view is peaceful & a great place to enjoy a morning coffee. I’d stay here again & highly recommend.

I have literally just turned up here on my wedding anniversary, having booked this room and received an email confirmation over a week ago, for them to tell us they don’t have a room for us. They don’t have the confirmation email that THEY sent us, despite showing her the email TWICE w the a booking reference, and the girl on the reception desk telling us that ‘she doesn’t work here and she didn’t send the email’!! So what is she doing trying to manage the booking system??! And now, 4 hours before we’re supposed to be going to dinner at a Michelin restaurant, we have NOWHERE TO STAY. I am more than angry and frustrated. The poor management of this hotel whose direct booking system doesn’t link up with anything else, only to be told it’s not their fault. Well done Dom Dinis, you have absolutely ruined our wedding anniversary. Angry doesn’t even start to describe how I feel.

Wonderful stay in a stunning location. Very comfortable bed with soft linens. Apple maps did us no favours in finding it so we parked and walked to get proper directions, then drove back as there is ample parking. (Follow the wall instead of driving up through the middle of town) Was a very hot day so we didn’t book the hot tub which has an exceptional view but on a cooler day that would be a must.

This was one of our favorite stops on our 10 day trip through Portugal. From the moment you turn a corner in the approaching road and first see Marvao high up on the hilltop, the experience was magical. The town is compact, clean, and efficient. Dom Dinis has parking available onsite. The check-in was efficient. The room was clean and well outfitted with patio, claw-foot tub and a unbelievable view, a tremendous value for the price. On top of all that, the castle and gardens with panoramic views across the hills and valleys near the border with Spain was simply breathtaking. The breakfast was minimalistic, but adequate, hard boiled eggs, pastries, cold cuts, espresso, enough to get you going in the morning, not enough to write home about. I wish we had booked another day at this lovely hotel in this gorgeous village. Disliked · Unfortunately, the hot tub, which was one of the reasons I was attracted to the hotel, was out of order at the time of our stay. If it were working, one could sit in it with an awesome view.

Excellent hotel at the top of Marvão. Not super fancy, but beautiful and clean. The staff truly cares about making your stay perfect. We had a great room with a balcony and a beautiful view. The room was well appointed and spacious, bed was comfortable, and it was very clean. We used the jacuzzi which was lovely and we were able to order a couple of glasses of wine to enjoy on the deck. Very memorable and romantic place! Highly recommend.

Edifício muito bem recuperado. Os quartos são muito agradáveis, num misto de charme e tradicional alentejano. A localização é perfeita, com estacionamento mesmo ao lado. Staff muito atencioso e simpático. O facto de terem poucos quartos torna tudo mais personalizado e o ambiente é muito calmo. Muito bom pequeno almoço. O jacuzzi panorâmico é um plus que confere um toque especial à estadia.

A nossa estadia foi agridoce. A localização é excelente e a rececionista é extremamente simpática e prestável. No entanto, achámos o pequeno-almoço razoável apenas e a pressão da água era muito, mas mesmo muito baixa. Tivemos uma limpeza de quarto excecional e no dia a seguir não tivemos nenhuma e só reparámos já no final do dia, já não dava para avisar.

Duas noites, no quarto 12, com varanda virada para a vila de Marvão, com vista para o Castelo. Serviço 5 estrelas. Funcionários super simpáticos, sempre dispostos a ajudar. Estadia com pacote romântico, com velas, rosas, chocolates, morangos e champanhe. Dispõe de jacuzzi, super agradável.
