Inn of the Turquoise Bear

This beautiful inn is a destination in itself. Our room, decorated in Santa Fe style, was very comfortable, spotless, and featured a cozy king-sized bed with amazing linens, comfortable chairs, mini fridge, and wood burning fireplace. Our bathroom had a heated floor. We woke up to cold mornings so the warmth in the bathroom was much appreciated. Breakfast was very special each day. We were greeted by Edith or Alex very warmly and they introduced the entree of the day. Eggs to order were always available. The food was creative and delicious. We had no chance of leaving hungry. The starter buffet alone would have sufficed, but who could say no to the delicious main courses. All the food is made from scratch and beautifully presented. And the smoothies...out of this world! Wonderful afternoon baked goods available also. We loved meeting other guests at breakfast and at the wine reception each evening. It's so rare these days to experience the art of gracious hospitality. The Inn of the Turquoise Bear excels at this. We will return to this lovely B&B again.

We stayed at the Inn of the Turquoise Bear and had an excellent experience. Our stay was so peaceful and relaxing - we highly recommend this Inn for the perfect getaway.  The rooms and common areas were very clean and comfortable. Everyone was very friendly and kind, but made sure we had plenty of quiet time to ourselves. The breakfasts were incredible and we were not forced to dine at a set time which was nice for sleeping in.  The grounds of the Inn were lovely and well-maintained, even in the winter, and the walk to town and nearby attractions was easy and enjoyable.  We can't wait to come back and hope to make it an annual visit. Wow, we loved our stay!  Just superb!  The innkeepers and staff are wonderful.  They are authentic, gracious and kind.  The room we stayed in was on the small side, given it’s a historic adobe estate, but beautifully decorated, warm and comfortable, featured updated amenities, and spotlessly clean and quiet!  Loved the wood burning fireplace which added such ambience on a cold evening.  Breakfast is the most delightful experience where you can chat with other guests at their large dining room table.  Honestly, breakfasts at the Inn were the highlight of our visit to Santa Fe!  If coming to New Mexico, treat yourself to a stay at the Inn of the Turquoise Bear!

The team at the Inn of the Turquoise Bear has thought of everything a modern traveler can wish for! A traditional 200-year-old adobe estate that is charming, tastefully decorated, and a brief walk to downtown provides for a very unique experience. Great breakfast. Evening wine reception. Wonderful, attentive staff. The inn keepers are sincerely interested in making your stay the best. We stay in many inns and B&B’s. Without any hesitation, this is the best. This was a magical stay - the cozy and clean rooms are filled with rich local character and wonderful linens, the gardens enchanting, with mountain views were peaceful. We need to return in summer so we can enjoy them. It was cold when we stayed but our room and the common rooms were warm and cozy! The breakfasts were innovative, very tasty and memorable. A daily smoothie starter was a unique touch.  They make all of their food in-house and we had to buy their cookbook so we could try to replicate what we enjoyed at home. We were lucky as the owner Dan was our host for two of our three mornings and when able would sit at the breakfast table and chat with the guests.  Wonderful stories of the history of the estate and of Santa Fe.  The entire staff was so attentive and gracious.  We will be back!
