First time visit to this resort. Booked after reading lots of reviews that were positive. Arrived about 7pm in the evening, quick check in & went to our rooms (no service to assist with luggage). Allocated room 1226 which was in main block on 2nd floor view of pool & directly opposite the stage. We had booked a family room with separate bedroom but did not get this. We were in a room with 2 single beds & sofa bed. The room was spacious but had a really strong smell of damp which was really unpleasant. Beds were hard especially the sofa bed. Bathroom was modern but the shower flooring was like a sponge and was horrendous to walk on. We had an issue with the air con for 2 nights- vibrating, loud banging & rattling but was fixed quickly once reported. Disappointed in the limited cocktails available & they were already pre mixed & very weak. The staff were friendly & pleasant. The food was average, buffet was good especially the salad & cheeseboard options. The lunch snack bar was very repetitive, cold & not available for long enough. The self serve drinks were good including the hot drinks & ice creams. Disappointed you are not provided with bottled water, even one bottle you could then refill would be welcomed… you shouldn’t have to purchase from a shop in an all inclusive! The pools were freezing but we did brave them it’s nice to be able to get a sun bed at any time of the day, although I imagine it would be a nightmare in the summer. Good location & only 2 mins walk to the beach. Entertainment was average & expected at a small resort like this. This hotel attracts an older clientele, most of which appear to be repeat visitors. An average 3 star resort at most. probably won’t return as we like to visit different places.
