Attergauhof

On a organised group tour of Austria. We stayed at this family run hotel and on the whole no complaints at all with the rooms and way we were treated. The rooms could do with a fridge and air con as we needed the window open which meant being on the main street it was noisy by 6am. We were half board and the food was ok for one but the other being a vegetarian it was not good. Pretty much pasta and veg or pasta and potato every night. The food going out to non half board customers looked much bigger and more appertising. The staff were great and helpful although seemed to be understaffed and the new guy dropped something on some guest every night ! Not the hotels fault but everything in the town shut by 10pm latest so dont go expecting ay late nights bar the weekend.

Beware, Shearings changed to this hotel and town 1 week prior to the tour, everyone on the tour complained that Shearings had waited to inform them all after they had paid in full, even when this travel company had been informed by the intended hotel owners 10 Months before on January 2022, that they could not accommodate any Shearings tours again. Shearings terms and conditions would not allow their clients to cancel without losing the full amount of everyone's payment. The Attergauhof hotel gained the 3 star rating due to being the hotel in the town, my rating would only be 1 star at a push, very very old furnishings, dirty carpets, sparse bedrooms, no bed side cabinets, overlooking a busy road. Christmas Dinner absolutely disgusting, tinned turkey, a few potato croquet's and frozen beans. and thin soup for starters , everyone complained about all the dinners, breakfast included bread rolls, horrible cheese and spam or very hard boiled eggs, we only have very small meals at home, these meals were even smaller. People were taking bread rolls away in the morning to get a little food intake. The bar prices very expensive, wine in very small glasses and very expensive. The Resort closed down completely on Christmas day and Boxing Day, no entertainment in the hotel, many stayed in their bedrooms during Christmas day, nothing else to do. Virtually everyone complained to Shearings,, about the standards, but shearings only wished for good reviews, everyone's Christmas of 2022 was a disaster. Travel times were long and uncomfortable, all the Christmas had been virtually kept inside stop 24 for approximately five hours,l before we left to get home, we arrived in Chesterfield at 03.45, no taxis, and managed to book into the premier inn. Take our advice do not book your Christmas with Shearings, also I believe that Shearings will manage to place their friends and families nice reviews on trip advisor to knock all the bad ones off We and many other couples have requested compensation. we and many others will not

My husband and myself were part of a coach trip to Austria. We stayed at this lovely hotel for six nights with daily tours to neighbourhood area inc lakeMondsee, lake Attersee, Bad Ischl Hallstatt and Salzburg. The hotel has recently reopened after the pandemic and is poorly staffed. There is poorvhospitality shown to customers at all the times. As the breakfasts and dinners were included, the food we were served was in bad taste and poorly presented. A single waiter ( the only one seen) appeared tired and bored. At dinner times, the plated food was brought to us , usually cold and unattractive looking. I guess one needs to give them more time post-pandemic to organise their staff at a better level etc.

Wir waren im Zuge unseres Berufes vier Tage hier untergebracht. Das Hotel selbst ist traditionell von Außen und modern im Inneren. Die Servicequalität ist sehr gut und aufmerksam. Zimmer sind fein und geräumig. Es gibt eine Sauna, die man bei Bedarf dazunehmen kann als auch ein Restaurant im Erdgeschoß. Wenn man von der Hauptstraße in den Innenhof hinter dem Hotel fährt
