City Lodge Hotel Sandton, Katherine Street arvostelua

Great hotel for the price. Excellent location. Central for anything around Sandton and it's right on the Gautrain bus line which is very convenient.

It’s ok Break fast varieties should be improved and a bigger tv screen will be better Slept in room no 264 there’s some noise from may be a pool compressor though not much but should be considered and when there’s a gathering you can be distracted by some noise I recommend the hotel

O hotel fica distante do centro de Johanesburgo. Como não tem metrô na cidade, a única forma de locomoção é a pé, de ônibus, táxi ou aluguel de carro, mas como a mão de direção na África do Sul é inglesa, alugar um carro por lá pode ser um pouco complicado para nós brasileiros. Mas isso não é problema, pois pode-se adquirir vários tours no próprio hotel a bons preços. Eu adquiri tours para conhecer Johanesburgo, Pretória e Soweto. Valeu a pena, principalmente porque estava chovendo bastante. No centro de Johanesburgo tem um serviço de city-tour com um ônibus de 2 andares do tipo hop on / hop off (você sobe e desce do ônibus nos pontos determinados, quantas vezes quiser durante o período de validade do ticket que você comprou), e esse ônibus não passa perto do hotel, mas com chuva, teria sido impossível usar esse serviço. Foi melhor mesmo adquirir os tours privativos no hotel. O café da manhã é ótimo, e tem um restaurante ao lado do hotel, num prédio dentro do mesmo terreno do hotel, que é excelente e com preços bem em conta se comparados com os preços praticados nos restaurantes de São Paulo. Vale a pena.

南アでトランジットするため一泊したホテルです。 空港からは、送迎バスが出ていて安心です。 日本人となると、空港を歩いているたびにオレンジtaxiがやたらと誘ってくるので・・ 私は、安全面を考えて、あえて送迎バス有のホテルを選びました。 ただ、支払い時にいくらかバス代が含まれているのに気付きましたが・・・。確か$6くらい？ 初めてのヨハネスブルグだけに、ホテルからは一歩もでなかったのですが、 free wifiもあり、シングルの部屋はとてもきれいで快適に過ごせました。 朝食のバイキングも充実していて、◎。 夕食はホテルと提携している近くのレストランのデリバリーを利用しました。 注文から20分ほどで届いたので、良かったです。

何も問題ありませんでした。ビジネスにもバケーションにも向いていて、みなさんにお勧めできます。

Os funcionários do hotel são muito gentis e tornam a experiência ainda mais agradável. Eles organizam visitas guiadas pela cidade conforme seu interesse. Os quartos são ótimos e muito limpos e o café da manhã é excelente.

Hotel proximo ao shopping Mandela, mas longe do aeroporto. Custo benefício é bom. O carro fica ao tempo, ou seja, na chuva e em dias frios irá sofrer. Peça quarto no térreo, pois alem dele não ter elevador, a internet no quarto do primeiro andar é muito ruim (nos dois lados, rsrsrs). Café da manhã estilo sul africano, bem servido.

The travel agent suggested this hotel as it's the best (and safest I assume) area of Johannesburg. The hotel is a classical city hotel. I found the interior a bit boring and old-fashioned. Service was ok and they helped me with ordering a taxi when I wanted to go to the shopping centre. The recommended against walking, even if it was a short walk. Breakfast was surprisingly good. I could even order an omelette with my choice of filling. In the evening I chose to have a light snack dinner in the hotel's breakast/lobby area, as I didn't want to take yet another taxi. Food was a bit boring. All in all, the hotel felt like ok value for money. - Pool was unheated.

Hotel sérieux très bien situé et bon marche pour ce quartier. Le parking est sécurisé, le petit déjeuner y est bon, le logement est propre et moderne. À recommande si vous estimez que le Michel Angelo n est pas dans vos moyens....

A friend and I decided to stay in 2 different budget level hotels for a weekend in Sandton, so I'm comparing this with Park Inn, across the road. Both are well located, and almost the exact same price. City Lodge is older, with older style room layouts, which means they are slightly larger with better quality finishes, and have separate en-suites. However they are grubby, not dirty, as the rooms and bedding were clean enough, but tired. The carpets and curtains are looking past their sell by. The aircon unit was broken, and looks like it had been for a while, but it was cold weather so I just opened the window a bit. The facilities are lovely, it's set in established gardens with wonderful trees. There's a decent bar, and we had excellent toasted sandwiches and chips late. This was after scouting the separate restaurant, which was empty at 9ish on a Friday night, had odd decor and peeling wall paper bad enough to warrant keeping walking straight out. Breakfast sounded pricey, so we tried local restaurants rather. The staff were great, very friendly and helpful, including the night porter who returned my charged cell phone, since I'd forgotten my charger adapter and the rooms done have USB port chargers. I'd choose Park Inn again just because its fresher inside, and for me that feels better. But not if was warmer weather and you want pool time!

Excellent staff and decent breakfast fare in a quiet and unhurried environment make this one a good bet for a business meeting. The cold food is decent and available in good variety, and the cooked fare is good.

●ロケ 高級ホテルが立ち並ぶサントン地区の外れにある。 サントンシティからは徒歩で20分程度。 道中の治安は問題ないため徒歩でも大丈夫だが、 ホテルの人によるとタクシー推奨とのこと。 治安の悪いダウンタウン地区からは離れている。 近くにスーパーはない。 ●部屋と設備 値段相応の部屋。ビジネス用デスクがありしっかりしたつくり。 十分足が伸ばせる大きさのバスタブがあり寛げる。 ロビーにプリンターとPCがあるためビジネスにもOKだと思われる。 ●食事 種類豊富、味もしっかりしている。*料理はオーダー制で 目の前で作ってくれる。デザートも美味しく腹いっぱい食べられる。 コーヒーとても美味しい。紅茶もイケる。 なお、*料理のお勧めはオムレツ。 ●ネット 有料。データ量制限と時間制限の2種類に大別され さらに量、時間ごとに値段が違う。 ●スタッフ とても優しい。ホスピタリティ十分。 ●その他 サントンシティは広すぎて迷います。

Stayed at this hotel for 4 nights in our holiday in JHB, and loved the hotel itself with some few staffs. But my only complains is, when we arrived there was no tooth paste and tooth brushes in the room, we then called the reception and we were told to wait for 15 munities but it took 45 minutes. Another complain is, there's one old woman who serve the breakfast, she's very rude. I'm African man and I do respect the old woman(due to our culture), but I have never seen a rude woman like this. I asked her for the black tea, and she was bring the hot water, I asked her politely that I have ordered you the black tea and she responded loudly and said you said HOT WATER....! we felt so embarrassed. However, despite those two things, the hotel is very beautifully, good location and I don't mind to stay there again if I will come back to JHB, though they should work on those two things.

Sono stata a Johannesburg in occasione dei mondiali 2010. Abbiamo alloggiato al The city Lodge di Katherine Street e ci siamo trovati veramente malissimo! Le stanze sono seminterrati (underground), il personale è rude, sgarbato, maleducato e per niente disponibile. Abbiamo avuto la sfortuna di perdere un bagaglio durante uno scalo e loro non ci hanno aiutati per niente. E' compito della reception farlo ma a quanto pare non al The city lodge! Lì alzano la cornetta, compongono il numero e passano a te il telefono. Io turista italiana con un inglese mediocre. Ma il problema più grave è che non conosco affatto il loro mestiere. Ad un certo punto ci siamo anche innervositi perchè non avevamo la minima collaborazione da parte loro e una receptionist si è permessa di sbattere il telefono, sbuffare e iniziare a parlare in non so quale lingua zulù/africana. Io e il mio compagno abbiamo girato il mondo ma non abbiamo mai trovato un personale così impreparato, scortese e maleducato. Altra curiosità: quando chiedevi un taxi ti mandavano sempre gli stessi 3 tizi (Jugoslavi). Dei veri e propri ladri! Quasi il 40% in più rispetto agli altri operatori. Anche loro maleducatissimi. P.S. controllate bene il conto prima di fare il check out. A noi avevano infilato cose che non avevamo consumato! Giudizio generale: IL PEGGIORE ALBERGO DOVE HO MAI ALLOGGIATO!
