Great spot to relax and explore! Lots of on-site activities like chocolate and tortilla making classes and they’ll help you book off-site excursions. Family friendly! Pool is nice but caters to families. Bar service is great and food has been good. Great value!

The lovely staff work hard to immerse you into the rain forest lifestyle. The grounds are great to hike around. There is so much character to Finca Luna. The farm to table food is delicious. The rooms are embedded into the rain forest. We loved it and will come back.

One of the best farm stays I ever had, beautiful place, real nature away from the tourism and wonderful people. Really highly recommend this place to anyone who seeks a true natural experience but still with a lot of comfort. Food was very nice, nothing special but made from true and honest ingredients mainly from the farm. the farm tour was super fun as well for us and our 3 year old.

A Perfect 10/10 Experience – Pura Vida at Its Finest! We initially expected a more rustic stay, but this finca completely blew us away! From the moment we arrived, the hospitality, kindness, and attention to detail were beyond anything we could have imagined. Every aspect of the property is dedicated to preserving its natural beauty, with ethical sourcing, sustainable farming practices, and a deep respect for the environment. One of the most incredible parts of our experience was knowing that all the food is grown on-site. Not only was it some of the best food we’ve ever had, but learning about where it comes from made it even more special. Every meal felt like a celebration of the land and its resources. We were lucky to visit during a yoga retreat, which created the most peaceful, zen-like atmosphere—exactly what the doctor ordered! On top of that, we had the chance to take part in an amazing chocolate-making class, where we learned about the entire process from start to finish: harvesting cacao, fermenting and drying the beans, and finally grinding them with real sugar to create the most delicious, pure chocolate. It was an unforgettable experience! The staff deserves a massive shoutout! Byron is the man—his heart and dedication to guest experience are unmatched. He went out of his way to walk the property with us, find a sloth for my wife, and even teach us the sound of a toucan. Thanks to him, we were able to identify toucans later in Manuel Antonio! Danny, Melina, and Jasmine were also absolutely fantastic, making sure every moment felt special. The attention to detail was so on point that it felt like stepping into an episode of White Lotus: Costa Rica—minus the TV drama, of course! The finca is truly stunning, and photos do not do it justice. If you're visiting the area, this is an absolute must-stay. Our only regret? Booking off-property excursions. Next time, we’ll be staying at the finca the entire time to soak in every experience they offer. PURA VIDA! 🌿☀️🍫

Staying at Finca Luna Nueva has been such a sweet and meaningful experience. The room was gorgeous, breezy, and tucked away. We woke every morning to the sound of tropical birds. We opted for airport pickup which was so worth it, so seamless after a long day of travel. Everyone was super kind, professional, thoughtful and really fun to chat with. They humored me with my baby talk Spanish and spoke perfect beautiful English. When we arrived at the lodge, every new space we saw was breathtaking, the photos hadn’t really prepared us. We loved all the tours: I think we did almost every one. We are big farming and nature nerds and we learned so much. Everyone was really cool and a wealth of knowledge. Okay and last but also maybe most important is the food. So much love and care in the food and all the drinks, so so so good. Overall this place is just so special, you really touch the earth, reconnect with the beauty and magic of this blue orb spinning through space. I felt so much wonder and childlike awe and I think that’s so healing and so important! Really really highly recommend.

Luna Nueva was an amazing introduction to the diversity, beauty and charm of Costa Rica. We were picked up by Hugo from SJO. On our two or three hour drive we learned about the flora, fauna, food, culture and the all important “ceda el paso” signs. We also stopped for biscochos and one of the best cappuccinos I have ever had. We arrived after sundown and Melina checked us in with gusto and some good laughs. We stayed at the Casita Esplendor, a breezy open air lodge that is right next to the forest. We received a friendly wake up call from the Motmot birds and awoke to the tropical paradise of Luna Nueva. The amount of natural beauty in this place is almost overwhelming at first. Each tropical plant seems to have a more ornate and unique flower, lumbering sloths munch on the cecropia tree by the pool and toucans fly overhead (I swear it winked at me). Carlos took us on a farm tour where we learned the past, present and future of Luna Nueva. Originally an organic ginger farm, Luna Nueva has evolved into a syntropic farm, a practice of regenerative agriculture that mixes traditional indigenous practices with modern techniques. All of the spices, fruits, dairy and vegetables produced on the farm is used in the delicious food served at the restaurant. Other highlights were the birding tour with Roy, and the chocolate and herbalism classes with Ariel. I cannot recommend this place enough. If you are looking for natural beauty, kind people, learning new things and relaxing, I think you will agree!
