Très bon accueil des hôtes Javier et Pilar. Endroit très propre. Maison et jardin très typiques et authentiques. Le plus : le petit déjeuner entièrement fait maison avec des produits frais servi dans le jardin tropical. Nous nous y sommes rendus pour la troisième et l'hospitalité reste inchangée.

We stayed at casa de las Tias for 2 nights when we arrived in Costa Rica and then returned for 3 more nights after travelling around and before leaving the country. It is a warm home to stay in, with the personal care of the experienced hosts and owners- Pilar and Xavier. Communication was excellent and we got airport pickup arranged as well as advice for car rental etc. The house has private rooms and common areas as well as a garden and front porch to sit together and relax, all designed and kept with good taste and attention to details and practical features (including comfortable beds and linen, night lights, carpets, books, plants and many more). Excellent breakfast is served in the garden where you can also meet other guests. I certainly hope to return here and highly recommend!

Casa de las Tías was wonderful! The house is very beautiful, comfortable, clean, and full of charm. It's located in a quiet neighborhood in San José, so it was a perfect place to relax after several days of intensive travel. The breakfast in the beautiful garden was delicious. Pilar and Xavier are excellent, welcoming hosts—beautiful people, very helpful and kind. I had lovely conversations with them and with other guests I met during my stay. I stayed there at the beginning of my trip, for one night in the middle, and at the end of my journey. It truly felt like a cozy home to return to. I hope to come back again and highly recommend this place with a warm heart. Ruth

Die Begrüßung war sehr herzlich und der Abholservice vom Flughafen hat hervorragend funktioniert. So konnten wir am späten Abend entspannt in der Casa de las Tias ankommen. Pilar und Xavier sind hervorragende Gastgeber, wir haben uns vom ersten Moment an in ihrer Casa wohl gefühlt. Abseits vom Trubel der Stadt und doch innerhalb von 10 Minuten in San José. Auch das Frühstück war gut. Wir würden jederzeit wieder kommen.

If you are going to visit the San Jose area, we can certainly recommend Casa de las Tias. In the suburb of Escazu, it is a very convenient location. And, a comfortable place to stay. The rooms (and beds) are quite comfortable, and Xavier and Pillar are excellent hosts. They will help you plan excursions, recommend restaurants and provide any information that you need. The B&B grounds are beautiful, too. We recommend getting the Junior Suite if you can; it has some amazing local art. We will certainly stay at Cafe de las Tias on any future visits.

A beautiful home nestled in the suburbs. Xavier welcomed me and made me feel at home in my room with a gorgeous view of the backyard. A peaceful place to sit and enjoy nature or read a book. Many restaurants close to hand. When you are looking for a quiet hideaway with a slower pace you’ve found it here. Pura vida

This place is absolutely wonderful! The hosts are the nicest couple we met in the whole of Costa Rica, the gardens are stunning, the rooms are cute. It is a very clean, artful, relaxing and homely bnb. Huge thanks to Pilar & Xavier for their warmth, recommendations and encouragement to travel around Costa Rica. The breakfasts are to die for. If you ever come to San Iose head to Las Tias.

The perfect place to stay in San Jose. The house is just beautiful, the garden so pretty, it is a little oasis of peace in a busy city. Breakfast was perfect. Would highly recommend and we will for sure be back! Thanks so much for having mum and I!

We loved this place. They organised a taxi from the airport for us, were very efficient when we arrived late and gave us a lovely welcome. The breakfast is great and we even had a birds nest full of chicks to admire while we drank our coffee. I recommend this place with no reservations
