The Watermark Hotel

My room was clean and fresh, the bed was so comfortable, I also like that they have a special washcloth to remove makeup. The food was tasty, especially the Fry Jack, I even placed an order to bring it back home. The food service needs to be improved, even though my party who stayed at the hotel was 28 people, you would think that hotel management would arrange additional staffing. There were only two staff providing service at the restaurant for all guests, and at times, the staff had to make a drink and step away to drop off room service orders, which left one staff to attend to all of the guest's orders which wait time for breakfast was very frustrating. I was there for a friend's birthday celebration, and again the event was understaffed, considering that management was aware of this event in advance and did not have sufficient staffing for the event. Besides being unstaffed in the restaurant, I had an Awesome vacation.

My wife and I checked into this hotel on a Saturday night and asked if our room faced the water and the receptionist said yes but when got to our room it was not facing the water but other buildings and it was very noisy with vehicles passing below and people in the hallways. The room was called a King Suite but wasn’t very large at all!

Single solo traveler from Lebanon. I fell in love with Belize, and this was the second trip.so This time, I decided to travel to the island and choose the watermark hotel. I did my research, and I had some good reviews, and I saw bad ones. But the real deal is that until you try yourself. Fairly new place. I also noticed some works that needed to be done on rooftop restaurants. But I have to say that doesn't stop that million dollar view. That peaceful time I had in this resort. Absolutely amazing food that has complete local flavor. I was tired of burgers and pizza life. I enjoyed great fish curry ,I enjoyed local rice and beans and enjoyed service by Bhajji. I will do say, though, I don't remember the waitress's name, who walks funny and has a very bad temperament. But that will not make me give this place 5 stars. I enjoyed the welcome given by sessy during check in. Even though I didn't get enough respect with other front desk name starts with P when i went to ask for pool towel. But I will still end my review with a very budget friendly hotel and nice food.Thanks for making stress lesser as I had enough.

I’m so glad I stayed here. The food and drinks were great, the facilities were modern, the location was accessible to all the must-go places, and the staff was amazing. I stayed in San Pedro for 5 days on a solo trip. My room was comfortable with a spacious balcony, large shower, fridge, TV, microwave, and coffee maker. The bed was extremely comfortable, too. This would have been a nice hotel room back home in Los Angeles. The sun rising over the ocean was breathtaking, I would wake up most mornings to catch it, then go back to sleep. The hotel had a bar and restaurant on the first floor, a boutique next to the lobby, a rooftop pool, and a bar and restaurant on the rooftop. I would have liked more seasoning on some of the dishes, but the food was not disappointing. The menu had a great mix of authentic local dishes and touristy options. I tried the shrimp curry, stewed chicken, and the Belizean breakfast. The drinks were always good, and they could make anything you'd like. Kaylinn made a solid old-fashioned for me one night. I recommend you drink the local rum-based drinks. They are much, much cheaper than imported spirits (this is true everywhere, not just in the hotel) and just as good. Also, the welcome cocktail was great, I should have got that again now that I think about it. My favorite part of the hotel was the rooftop bar and pool. The pool is fairly large and very clean, with lounge chairs all around. There are also tables for food orders and a bar as well. The view is always excellent, and the rooftop is usually where the guests go before and after their daily excursions. I met people from all over the US, and we shared our favorite restaurants on the island and made plans while casually hanging out there. The friendly island vibes are contagious, so most of the tourists are very friendly, like the locals. My first interaction with the hotel was when the driver picked me up from the water ferry terminal. He was punctual, professional, and very friendly. He set the standard for the rest of the staff at The Watermark, and it was consistent my entire 5-day stay. Every single person from the bar to housekeeping to the front desk had a great attitude and was professional and friendly. Ali, Kaylinn, Heraldo, Daniel, and Jami were great, they provided service with a smile every time I crossed their paths and they knew all the best restaurants and bars on the island. I felt at home the whole stay and can't wait to return.

It was a beautiful hotel; the rooms were small but very nice. The hotel staff was helpful and always willing to take a minute to help when needed. The location was a little north of town (still within walking distance if you walk on the beach). It is located next to my favorite dive outfit, so that made it convenient for diving. It's also closer than most resorts to the secret beach if you plan on relaxing and partying in the afternoon. I would recommend staying if you have a chance.
