Alua Atlantico Golf - All Inclusive

After a quick count, I think this was our 29th visit to this hotel, which we first visited in 2001. We like it. There have been changes over the years, but one constant has been the very friendly welcome we always receive. This time, we felt that the food in the airy restaurant had improved, in particular the delicious range offered on the cold buffet at lunch time and in the evenings. There's always more than one pasta dish on the hot buffet, paella and child-friendly food, together with hot casseroles and fish and meat being freshly cooked on the grill. At breakfast, the range of hot food has diminished over the years; I particularly miss the tortilla and (non-chip) potato offerings. Omelettes, fried eggs and pancakes are cooked freshly on the grill. There's always a huge range of cold foods available as well. One (typically English) gripe is that the plates are no longer warmed, I don't know why, but I wish they would provide warm plates to receive hot food! The hotel is always scrupulously clean, the rooms are spacious and airy, with walk-in showers and very comfortable beds. Outside, there's a good choice of sun terraces and swimming pools with poolside bars where snacks are available. The hotel is built right on the coast, overlooking the rocky coastline and a marina. It's in a breezy spot, which can be very welcome in hotter weather. There's a good range of bars and restaurants within walking distance, and a lovely walk along the promenade in either direction. The hotel is about 20 minutes drive from the central resorts of Los Cristianos and Las Americas, although road works are currently making the journey longer.

Amazing place, hope to go back one day! The staff is great, the location is beautiful and the hotel is very cleaned. I loved my holiday there and I can't recommend this more! We also received a room upgrade for free so thank you for making our stay extremely pleasant!

Absolutely excellent hotel and holiday. Me and my husband needed a week away before surgery and this was just the job. The hotel was brilliant, spotless clean with friendly staff. We were all inclusive and the food and drinks were great. The variety of salads/vegetables/fish/meat etc etc were superb and Lupi who runs the snack bar food is a joy!! We had some mixed weather but that made us go out walking which was lovely. We can’t wait to go back again as could not find fault at all. Thank you to all the staff who made our stay the weeks break we needed. 5 stars.

Buen hotel en general. Las instalaciones bien, piscinas enormes con hamacas suficientes, y un buffet grande y muy variado. Programa de actividades variadas a lo largo del día. Destacar la labor de Manuel por su profesionalidad como animador

Just back from this hotel. Read all the reviews and was a bit worried about it. However got a room in block 1 , 1368 large room and bathroom. Sea and marina view which we hadn’t paid for. Beds comfortable pillows 1 long &1 square I liked the square husband used both. Meals we had breakfast in the main restaurant most days but if you like advacado and smoked salmon then the ocean restaurant is the place to go. Lunches we only did once and it was good did the pool snack bar twice. Evening meals we ate in the main restaurant and we had something different every night. We didn’t eat in the al’a cart as some of the things I couldn’t eat( due to allergies). We thought the bar beside the ocean restaurant in block 4 was nicer but only used it twice they made the cocktails not out of a machine .Plenty of sun beds around Entertainment live music karaoke bands good we did go to Irish bar and eat out 1 night only because it was my birthday. So on the subject of my birthday my daughter joined us but emailed the hotel in advance they printed out a birthday card and laminated it. She then bought a banner and asked if they would put it up which they did and put balloons in the room as well they then told my daughter they would bring a drink to the room at a certain time they then came with 2 bottles of carva and glasses and a birthday card from the hotel. They really made me feel special as when we went downstairs the member of staff who had arranged this wished me happy birthday. The weather wasn’t as good as it normally is at this time of year but that’s not the hotel’s fault. Would I return yes.

Large hotel we were in block 4 and could do with better signage as quite difficult to find your way around at first. The room was very clean and spacious lovely comfy beds and a double length balcony. Kettle and tea /coffee provided but no milks. Food was ok breakfast not bad but layout needs sorting bread at one end and toaster at the other, nice selection of cold stuff in the evening but the cooked food was only lukewarm and quite bland . There are a few bars and restaurants next to the hotel and San Blas is a pretty little place a short walk along the sea front worth a visit.
