Alua Atlantico Golf - All Inclusive

The weakest part of the stay was restaurant: poor food, same dishes served for lunch and dinner. No tables available. 3 days we had to set the tables on our own: wipe off the table, get cutlery and paper cups for drinks as glass wasn’t available. The place was messy and sticky due to lack of staff. The tiles around the pool are extremely slippery when wet. Cleaners were slamming doors from 7.06 am! Gym closes at 6.00 pm which is ridiculous. It is hard to have a good holiday when on couple of days you are awaken at 7.00 am by hospitality workers banging in drums, shouting and driving their cars/honking around the hotel ( they left the hotel and went on strike). This experience made me feel highly not welcome in Tenerife! Quality of this hotel is similar to a state of palm tree in front of it ( see photos).

Don’t normally do reviews. Just got the three kids to sleep. They’re currently playing live saxophone music in the square outside the rooms. Twelve people watching who do seem really into it. It’s 10.20pm and it looks like there’s a fair bit more to come. Pretty annoying. Otherwise ok.

We decided to have a late spring break, and didn’t want to be anywhere too rowdy so Alua Atlantico fitted the bill admirably. Short transfer in a private taxi of 15-20 mins, easy check in and despite it being late the bar was still open so we managed a couple of drinks. Unfortunately no food is available after the restaurant shuts, and we didn’t know where to get any outside so that wasn’t great. Our room was spacious and comfortable,two beds, couch, fridge, free safe, kettle etc so all you need for a comfortable stay. Large balcony overlooking the pool and a sea view( we were in block 1). No ashtray on the balcony, there is a washing line though The buffet restaurant on level -1 is large and busy, though we always found a seat. There was a good selection of fresh and tasty foods at all meal services, some cooking stations, salads, breads , desserts etc. Tea, coffee and juices at breakfast, soft drinks wine and beer at other meals. As we only stayed 6 nights our other alternative was the Ocean restaurant in building 4 which was still self service but with ‘an Italian twist’ The pool bar serves pizza, chips, burgers, hot dogs etc The pool bar is open 1030 to 6, the main Agua bar 6 to 11, drinks as said previously on a token basis obtained at check in and returned at the end of the night when you give your glass/ cup back. Coffees and teas are in paper cups. Unfortunately there are only a few bins around for some reason so there are sometimes paper cups and plates to be seen if they have been left by guests. All public areas, toilets etc are cleaned regularly, staff very friendly and accommodating. Plenty of sun loungers , we spent our time in the adult area near the pool bar and it was just what we wanted, peaceful and enough room. Pool towels are available for a €10 refundable deposit. Entertainment not great, but if you want this there are nearby bars within 10 mins walk and San Blas a 20 min walk away. Playa de Las Americas and Los Christianos either a taxi ride or a free bookable bus ride away. We really enjoyed the peace to be honest, it was just what we needed. We will definitely return to this hotel, it ticked all our boxes and was vfm. Well done AA!

We have stayed here for one week, the hotel is lovely. Very clean, very spacious rooms, the food is excellent quality. Entertainment has been absolutely amazing with activities every day that have been so enjoyable. We enjoyed lots of new games to play and have met lots of new people. The evening entertainment has been good with lots going on each evening. The silent disco was such good fun. Thanks to Manuel, Julia and all the team you do such a wonderful job.

I want to start by saying this is a very clean hotel We had two suites they were so clean the complex is clean I can not say this is 4 star more 3 star So the hotel has different blocks because at one time there was separate hotels To find our rooms was awful Check in the young lady was so nice but it took ages 45 minutes There was 8 of us In the end we asked if there was a bell boy to help us with cases she got someone he had problems finding the rooms We were so exhausted They give you tokens to get drinks which you leave a 5 Euro for in cash at reception So you keep going up for a drink with your cup then when your finished you give your cup in get your token For pool tools it’s 10 euros each towel deposit in cash you get back at end of holiday if you return cards So there are two buffet restaurant the Terra the main one The ocean only open five evenings Then two posh a la carte ones we never used you have to book them Now they get you to download a App you can book everything on this if the WiFi was ok WiFi terrible They then told us they were doing a trial to book buffet restaurant as well So it took me thirty minutes to book because of internet then we gets there to the terra not enough staff to implement bookings people just sat wherever Food was cold but we did find things that were edible We booked the ocean we loved this buffet one it was better organised limited food options it’s smaller Sadly the chicken was not cooked we quietly told the waiter in charge he said i tell chef but no apology We ate out after this The pools are nice but the tiles are so slippery definitely wrong tiles plus in corridors if washed or raining it was so slippery see people fall a lot The evening entertainment area just too small for the amount of people Drinks beer okay wine terrible Coffee awful Look we made the most of it The staff work so hard I felt sorry for the staff This could be so improved with the right changes in this complex

Let down by reception colleagues Hotel very clean room spacious lots of sun beds Reception staff surly, not interested didn’t smile felt like you were inconvenience One day was in a queue with someone in front of me, another person walked to front of reception and was acknowledged before us, when I queried this and said there is a queue the male reception colleague was rude Check out no smile. Hope you enjoyed holiday nothing Having to find the place to book a la carte was an experience. Signage poor and why can you not do online Bar staff busy and again not a smile
