Coqui del Mar - Lgbtq Hotel - Adults Only

Sadly I only stayed one night and should have stayed two or three nights. It is a place that feels like home everyone seems connected in community together. I felt safe, free to be myself and like I belonged. The room was clean and comfortable and you really don't stay there long in the room as the public space is the living room of the guest house with everyone hanging and chatting together by the pool or hut tub or roof top deck area. The hospitality was incredible and they really go out of their way to make you feel comfortable and part of the family. I never felt like I was a nuisance and from the moment I stepped in the gate I was made to feel important and like I mattered. The owners hang out with you and you get to know them. The staff and managers treat you like friends and it is the safest place to be your true authentic self while enjoying the tropical life of Puerto Rico. I can't say enough wonderful things about this place and I can't wait to return. Tim

I loved my short stay at Coquí del Mar. the staff were so helpful. I thought I would venture out but ended up spend g most of my time in the property chatting with new friends in the pool. The brunch was just incredible and the Saturday afternoon barbecue food was delicious. Tried some local produce like malanga, yautia and quenepa. The purple room was basic, but comfortable, perfect for my short stay. I might try a larger room in my next visit, which will be longer than just a weekend. Clothing optional pool area but no pressure. Plenty of guests kept their suits on. So if that’s a concern, it needn’t be.

So let me start by saying this was my first solo trip ever and a was a bit nervous, but I read all the reviews and decided to book it. It was the best decision I have ever made. The resort was great, beach was in walking distance and wonderful, restaurants and attractions were amazing and in walking distance or a short UBER ride away. Owners Rob and V were super accommodating, anything you wanted or needed they would take care of it and were on-site for the majority of the time I was there. Teague was the perfect host and so funny and smart, Kevin and Pedro were amazing chefs, and cooked breakfast to order, loved the Brunches and Barbeques too. Everyone that was staying there was so nice and friendly. made so many new friends. Can't wait to get back, already planning my next vacation here. Billy

Stayed 5 nights in this exceptional place. Rob (owner) made me feel at ease for giving a tour on my check - in day. It was informational as he explained to me the san juan area and what things and places i can explore. It was my first time to do solo travel in a caribbean area and this place makes my stay more feel like safe and comfortable. Issy and thig make sure that we have everything we need. Kevin(chef) made a stunning home-cooked brunch on weekend and his hummus is a must try. I stayed in twin room, it was comfortable and budget friendly. If you are lucky to find availability, explore their fabulous rooms because they have different themes which is co cool and it is really a massive room. I met a lot of awesome and beautiful people along the way because of this place. Their BBQ Saturday party is a must try cuz it was an awesome experience. Dont forget to enjoy and relax by the pool and soaked yourself with other guys in their massive jacuzzi. Overall, i cant thank enough Rob and His husband for letting me stay in the wonderful place. This place is worth your money! You wont regret booking this place! Dont forget to book a massage with jonathan️‍

We took the cave tour and it was incredible. Couldn't recommend it enough! Our tour was with Antonio and he was very knowledgeable and obviously loves and cares about what he does. Floating and swimming in the river and through the caves was really awsome.

I had such a wonderful time in this place; I loved its vibe and met nice people there; I was traveling solo but the guys are very open to make new friends. I stayed at the Purple room and it is quite comfortable, nice bed, bathroom, it has a mini fridge and a complimentary basket of goodies. Breakfast and brunch were delicious and generous. They also have a BBQ on Saturdays, highly recommended. Thank you guys for all your attention and to make me feel among friends; I will come back for sure. Wish you a lot of success. :D

From the moment I arrived, the staff was completely attentive to my needs and desires. The place was clean, the rooms were spacious and nicely decorated, the staff was extremely helpful and courteous. Very informative with happenings on the island. Every suggestion they gave me that I went to was phenomenal. Plenty of authentic Puerto Rican cuisine nearby, all with excellent food. The tours offered by Antionio were amazing. The entire experience was spot on. I look forward to returning to Coqui del Mar in the very near futures.

The place is a vibe all its own and the staff and owners are like family from day one. They market themselves and really exceed the expectations they set. It’s perfectly located with many good eating drinking places walking distance or short Uber to Santurce or other neighborhoods with good night life. Beach is a minute walk away and is adequate as any in town beach option. Weekend brunch at coqui is amazing also so highly recommend taking advantage to anyone planning to stay over a weekend. Will definitely return and encourage everyone to try it out. We will return!

This place really was everything I had hoped for! Staff was helpful and knowledgeable anytime I had questions. Location is just outside old San Juan and just a block away from the water! Definitely a great place to meet other solo travelers.This was my first time to San Juan but I will probably only now stay at Coqui Del Mar! The pool and jacuzzi was so refreshing and relaxing lounging out in the sun. Can’t wait to stay here again! I rented a car but I would say unless you’re traveling to other parts of the island it’s not really necessary. Uber works pretty well.
