Nestled in the lush hills near San Juan del Sur, TreeCasa is more than just a resort—it’s an experience. From the moment we arrived, we were immersed in a world of natural beauty, exceptional hospitality, and pure relaxation. The staff at TreeCasa truly go above and beyond to make your stay enjoyable. Even though my wife and I don’t speak Spanish and many of the staff have limited English, every interaction was met with warmth, effort, and kindness. We felt incredibly well cared for throughout our stay. While I could list numerous staff members who made our experience memorable, I have to give a special shoutout to Clifford! As our concierge for the week, Clifford and his team did absolutely everything to make our stay as close to perfect as possible. Hey Clifford! I hope to see you again soon my friend! TreeCasa’s grounds are a tropical paradise, meticulously maintained with winding pathways that lead to secluded treehouse platforms, vibrant gardens, quiet lounging spots and beautiful views. Our room was an ideal retreat after a day of adventure, complete with a cozy hammock on the porch—perfect for relaxing with a book or an evening cocktail. Even though the resort feels wonderfully secluded, the complimentary shuttle service to town made exploring nearby San Juan del Sur effortless and safe. This was a fantastic perk, allowing us to experience the town’s energy without worrying about transportation. TreeCasa features two incredible pool areas: The Main Pool Area – Located near the restaurant and bar, this area features an upper and lower pool connected by a waterslide and a cascading waterfall (you can jump of it). It’s a vibrant, social spot, and while it can get a bit busy when day-pass visitors arrive, it never felt overwhelming. Oceanview Infinity Pools – For those seeking a more peaceful retreat, the second pool area is a dream. These three interconnected infinity pools are exclusively for hotel guests and offer breathtaking views—especially at sunset. This quickly became favourite spot to unwind in the late afternoon before getting ready for dinner. The cocktails at TreeCasa are nothing short of spectacular—expertly crafted, refreshing, and perfect for poolside lounging or a pre-dinner treat. The smoothies? Equally amazing! The restaurant offers consistently great food, with fresh ingredients and a diverse menu. If I had to suggest an improvement, it would be rotating the menu a couple of times a week. While the dishes were delicious, the lunch and dinner menu are the same and don’t change throughout the week, except for occasional special night (like pizza night). That said, if my biggest “complaint” is having to enjoy the same delicious meal twice in a week, I suppose I’m revealing my North American privilege! There truly was nothing to complain about at TreeCasa.
