Admiral Hotel

It's the tenderloin. Cockroach in the bathroom, that I smashed. Other bug in bedroom...not sure what it was. Too fast. Couldn't smash. Two girls kicking each others butts in room next door to me at 2am. No phone in my room conecting to front desk. Called phone number on website. Told me it was local problem. OMG! Finaly...someone came to break it up...2 hours later. Thank goodness. Horrible experience.

Great property for central location in SF. The front desk guy was very nice and helped us with our food delivery when we were stuck in traffic ! Great place and cool old school elevator !!

Just what I expected The room that we checked into had flies and the bathroom light was not working properly. We complained and they were able to give us another room. Be aware there is no AC unit, just fans. The bed is not so comfy. Overall a good value for your money. Muni stop is just across the street.

Could be worse. The hotel have good and bad stuff. The bathroom was pretty good. Floors could have been cleaner. Bed was good. Building quite old and elevetor not upgraded, real old school elevetor. Hallways didnt look fresh and had some weird smell. Worse problem is bad isolation. The cold weather made it freezing inside. Only one radiator that didnt do enough for a decent temperature. Decent location but much homelessness in the neighbourhood.

Quaint and rustic, ear plugs a MUST The hotel is a historical site so it has a very rustic design and feel to it. It's a little hard to tell it's a hotel at first since the awning is kinda small and inconspicuous, but the guy at the front was very nice. The room itself was nice and clean, with a fridge and microwave and cable tv, as well as the option to chrome cast. While there were no issues with the room itself, the outside area was quite loud with lots of people hanging outside and yelling throughout the night. Im a pretty sound sleeper and was on the 6th floor, but was woken up every 1-1.5 hours throughout the night. Definitely need ear plugs during the night to get a good nights sleep.

Good price. To be honest, it was not nearly as bad as the reviews said. My room was quite big, clean (no bugs at all), it had a TV, mini fridge, coffee machine, microwave, air conditioning, and the bed was super comfortable. The only thing that needed a little pampering was the shower. I would say that the location is quite good as it is near downtown, however, it is packed with homeless people and it can get a bit scary if you are not used to that. The hotel is also home for a few homeless people as well so keep that in mind. I honestly didn’t feel quite safe at first (I’m a woman travelling by herself), but in the end nothing happened and the hotel staff was always super kind. I even got a package from Amazon and they held it for me until I arrived. If it weren’t for the area I would have given this hotel four stars. Downside: The elevator, the entrance of the hotel and the halls are quite old and they smell pretty bad.
