La Vista Highlands Mountain Resort

Stayed in the Zen Villa because it was the only room with A/C! The management says you don’t need A/C but the rooms are extremely humid and stuffy during the day. Evenings were more comfortable without A/C but still not feeling comfortable because of the mosquitoes. Our Zen Villa was overwhelmed by ants! Hundreds of them! We had to go to the front desk to have something done about it. They sent a security guard as NO maintenance staff was working. I had to give step by step instructions to him…No room phones to call the front desk which is 40 steps above our room. Very inconvenient!!! Our television wasn’t working and never got resolved. Could only get 3 stations on the Cignal cable network!! The person fixing the problem said it had to be down loaded or topped off? Not sure if that was correct but he never came back to check on it so we don’t know what the problem was. Nevertheless it did not get resolved. No kettle in the room. One was brought to the room with no coffee or tea??? Not sure if that’s SOP. Could not order room service due to no phone in the rooms, couldn’t call my family in the other rooms. Had to climb stairs constantly!! NO WIFI AS WAS ADVERTISED!!! The room was expensive 5500 Php. Not cheap. I had booked several rooms for my family members. Staff were very pleasant but not trained in any aspect of hotel operations or the hospitality business. Our food was good but the sequence in which it was served and the table set up IE: serving spoons etc. were non existent. Everything was family style which would be fine with the proper set ups. We were served food without utensils and cutlery. Meals that should be served with rice were not and by the time the rice was delivered the main dishes were cold and had to be sent back for reheating. I can go on but don’t see the point. I was extremely disappointed! I will not stay here again unless some changes are made.

Rude staff on reservations. Cant handle inquiries with respect. No proper training and so unprofessional to talk to. Treating customer like trash. Disappointing customer service. Been traveling a lot to diff places, does all the queries before booking, but never in my entire life i was treated by this personnel.
