Ok so my wife and myself have just returned from our second visit to salou, both the same 10 days of October I don’t often bother with reviews but felt I would with this hotel as it was far from a bad hotel but also far from good and I’m really unsure why it has a 4 star rating. I have certainly been in much better 3 star hotels in Spain and the Canary Islands In defence of the hotel we have visited right at the end of the season ( it closed the day after we left ) and it was mainly a much older clientele then they probably get earlier in the season. We felt young in our 50s ! Just a quick bit about us so you can see what we look for in a hotel and our holiday We are 50-55 age group love cycling and always rent a good bike when abroad. We go away when it’s a bit cooler and cheaper ! We aren’t overly bothered about the quality of the room as we just sleep and shower in it but I have commented below about this. We do however like to to sit on the balcony though in the evenings or late afternoon for an hour in the sun. We also aren’t the type to complain about a loose tile or a bit of mould on the wall but know some people knockoff a star because of this. Not sure how it makes your trip 20 percent worse but there you go ! We like to go out for a drink and a walk on the front or to other bars in the evenings too I like to think this is an honest review covering those things that seem important to most guests So here we go I’ll start with the good stuff first Positives :- Great location - right in the heart of the centre 3 mins walk from the front. Has a supermarket open until midnight right opposite the entrance and a few English bars if you want that. Good bus links to cambrils etc Superb staff - without exception all the staff were lovely with us . I do try and speak a bit of Spanish and that probably helps but can’t say enough about how good they all were and i have upped my grading because of this Clean rooms - cleaned daily and beds changed every day with fresh towels Shower - see negatives for the actual room but the shower was a modern rain shower with separate attachment and big cubicle powerful and hot and with gel shampoo dispensers etc Evening food - we have experienced about 20 hotels like this over the last 8 years and this was up there with the better food. Like all Spanish hotels has a lot of the same every day but put on Chinese nights and other special nights and all good and plentiful and more than happy with the choice. Breakfast was more average but still ok Bar prices - 3.2 euros for an estrella beer and 2.2 euros for small/medium glass of wine is cheap. Spirits a bit more but we enjoyed cava sangria 1 litre for around £10 on a few days Poolside service - staff always on hand to bring your drinks to your poolside without having to go to the actual bar Safe box was free in the room Now for those things that let it down Negatives :- The room - of all the rooms I have stayed in this

I was a bit apprehensive visiting as I follow a vegan diet. I emailed before my visit and requested vegan protein sources, milk and yogurt. I enquired in the restaurant and was introduced to the chefs who walked me around each day to show we what I can eat and aldi cooked me a variety of vegan dishes. These included tofu, seitan and vegan burgers. They had oat and soy milk and had three different flavours of vegan yogurt. I was so impressed! The whole hotel was spotless and the staff were fantastic. We enjoyed the pools and watching people run to reserve beds each day. It would be great if the hotel enforced the no reserving sun beds policy but it was entertaining to watch. Would definitely visit again.

Absolutely lovely hotel we have had a perfect holiday. Lovely friendly hard working staff, hotel very clean and lots of different areas to relax. Delicious food in abundance and lots of choice. Perfect location right beside beach and all the lovely shops. Thanks so much to all staff at H10 Delfin ❤️
