Hotel Cala Font

This hotel was ideal for a very relaxed holiday 11 nights with Tui We had a massive room overlooking the pool with a sea view it had a nice balcony The hotel was spotlessly clean the pool area was hosed every day Always plenty of sun beds We were well looked after the food was good The only fault was having to buy water at dinner But that’s a minor thing We had a lovely time Staff were good We had a trip to Tarragona on the bus A beautiful city Not much entertainment But made our own This was not an expensive holiday and we found it very Good value

Arrived to find a clean and tidy reception area , check in only at 3pm so have what you need ready to start enjoying the resort if you arrive early. Beach, bar and shops all within easy access and luggage can be stored in a room by the hotel shop so you can go off and explore while you are waiting. Food at the hotel offers a great choice and is served buffet style so you can get as much as you want. If I was gonna improve anything it would be that the food would be hotter as at times was a little cold, this did not detract from the taste though. Something for everyone was available . We were entertained on our second night by Thai G, a violinist and singer , very good! We also watched Mint Valley, a singer and ukelele player, also very good. Most of our evenings were at the La Cala bar which is a short stroll away and also owned by the hotel. Paco deserves a special mention as he was very welcoming and made us laugh frequently. Both gentlemen over there work very hard to keep everyone happy and the bar clean and tidy. The pool area was always clean and we did not struggle to get a lounger or space to swim. The beach is well maintained and the water remains shallow for a good section allowing little ones to play without too much trouble. If using the local buses there is a bus stop to the left of the hotel and an office where you can buy a T10 travel card. You can use one card for your whole party. 4 of us used one card. You get 10 trips for 10 euros. It’s easy to tap on , just state your destination and how many and tap that many times. We have loved every minute at this hotel. You have to be fairly fit to do the hills as they are a challenge but worth it. Markets at La Pineda on a Friday and Cambrils on a Wednesday worth a visit. In Cambrils though , the bus terminates quite a walk from the market so you might need to catch another bus or taxi. Salou , Tarragona, Cambrils and La Pineda are all easy to get to. There are plenty of bars, restaurants and shops within a short walk. You have everything you need.

Excellent hotel very clean amazing views staff are excellent 👌 can not fault it they clean your room every day food is different every day one thing I will say they don't offer baby food so I think that should be looked at as we had to buy from the shop for him but overall it was a great stay we had a vilolinest who play hits from the eighties fantastic 😀 kids were up dancing and singing kids had a bit of enjoyment in the pool with games of vollie ball and other bits from the entertainment side you don't have to pay for the safe wich was great and you get a mini fridge which was welcomed plenty of sun beds about 14 euros for a taxi into salou you can walk which we did took 20 minutes but we had kids
