Hotel Best San Diego arvostelua

The hotel is nice and clean and well presented. The food is nice and fresh however it was the same for every meal apart from a change of one or two things so it go very repetitive, we only stayed 4 nights so that was fine but I don’t think we could’ve coped for a week of the same food. There was no working air conditioning in our room. We were on the 4th floor and it was between 21-23 degrees outside all day with the sun blazing, as there were 3 of us in the room it got REALLY hot at night, we couldn’t leave the balcony door open because of people shouting who were drinking by the pool and also people drinking out on their balconies so this wasn’t an option. We asked if the hotel could put our aircon on or lend us a fan but neither of these options were available, we ended up just suffering in the heat until about 2am when it was quiet enough for us to open our balcony door. There was no kettle or drinking making facilities in our room which was odd, we enquired and were told we needed to pay a deposit plus 2 euros a day to borrow a kettle, this seemed strange for a 4 start hotel. The shower in our room constantly went from red hot to freezing cold, there was no way of getting it to a consistent temperature and the pilllow situation in the bedroom was odd with each bed having one long thin pillow - we did ask for some normal pillows and were provided with them without issues. The location is great, you can walk to salon via a walkway all along the seafront which is beautiful or along the shops towards the rear. For the price we paid for This hotel it was very reasonable and the staff were all very friendly and helpful. We would stay again, but maybe when they put the aircon on as it was definately suffocating without it!
