For a start beware of booking with trip. I booked for me and my 3 boys 14, 12, and 10 years old. When I got to the hotel they told me there would be an additional charge of 1500 euros for my 2 younger boys. So if the price looks cheap on trip please check with the hotel. As a single mother this was a terrible blow at the start of my holiday. The room was unclean, the hotel claims to had had a massive refurbishment however the only changes was the colour scheme in the living area of the room. The bathroom was the same as last year when we stayed with one addition, it was unclean. The main wardrobe in the living room had no hangers, I asked at reception and was told there was non to be had. There are now drawers in the apartment. They have taken away a cabinet under the tv and replaced it with two round tables that really serve no purpose. Even the dressing table had no drawers. There are two tables either side of the bed but no cabinets with drawers. I went to get a glass from the kitchen only to discover that the entire kitchen was devoid of equipment. Again I asked reception to be told I had to request the kitchen equipment. When the plates, etc arrived the cleaning lady dumped a box containing everything on the floor in the room. Not really what one would except from a “4” star hotel. The room was only cleaned every day at around 3pm. The floors were never washed, I had to ask for clean sheets, The bed wasn’t made properly and the bathroom never touched. I found out from one of the cleaning staff that there are only 10 cleaning staff on a morning and the 1 on an afternoon the poor staff couldn’t. It is impossible to get sunbeds at the pool. On a morning people start lining their bags containing towels at 7am then the pool is supposed to open at 9am. I went down a few times at 8.45 only to find the doors open and all sunbeds reserved with towels even though it states on the website that it is not permitted to reserve beds. Also the numbers of sunbeds at the pool is less than half of what it was last year when I stayed. The food in the restaurant was disgusting, absolutely full of grease, the children’s food was atrocious me and my kids tried eat there three times but couldn’t eat a thing. I complained to the manager but he was very rude and shrugged his shoulders when I explained the problem. I will not return to the hotel, I love Salou but not that terrible place. It is most definitely not a four star hotel. I wouldn’t even give it a two star. Photos of the bathroom. The hotel is average, clean and tidy. Location is great and close to the beach. PortAventura is fantastic. However the food is a major downfall. It's incredibly repetitive and all of us had bad stomachs at some point or another on our week stay. All the rooms around me had a clothes airer, when i requested one (two days in a row) i was told there was no more and i couldn't have one. The 3 pools are lovely and clean, however be aware these are not heated and are still freezing cold. Children aren't allowed to use floaties or any pool toys, which is a shame. Overall not terrible, could be a 4 star but the food let's it down alot. More like a 3 star.

I booked this hotel online directly,but didn't get a confirmation email.Emailed the hotel several times to see what the issue was as payment was still pending.It took 4 days to get back to me to tell me it had not been confirmed.So after that it was re-booked at the same price and everything was fine until we arrived.We waited 40mins in the queue for reception to be told our booking was made by the hotel for May and not April!!Another 30mins of sorting out the hotels second mistake to our booking at 10pm with a 4 year old child.We arrived at our room and noticed there was no cutlery,glasses,plates,cups,nothing at all so notified reception the next morning.In fairness when.we got back to our room that day,they had left all the items we were missing in our room,in a box for us to put away!!Now I've been to many hotels but I don't even think faulty towers would expect this off anybody!The hotel is lovely but was let down by a few incompetent staff who sure shouldn't be working in the industry.

I’m honestly baffled by the reviews. I’ve read one about bones in sausages and black eggs… absolute lies. We paid 410€ for four nights for two adults and one 11 year old. This included breakfast and two days’ park tickets. We booked direct with the hotel and although it was Easter hols, it was a week before Easter. We had the best stay. ALL staff we came across were polite, helpful and kind. We were seated at breakfast each morning with “enjoy your breakfast”. Breakfast was a good selection including fresh eggs, perfectly scrambled eggs, bacon, sausages, beans, cereal, fruit and yoghurt, pastries, breads, pancakes, churros. We enjoyed two brilliant days at Portaventura and some time spent round the pool (although not quite yet the season). The pool on the roof is beautiful and a lovely edition for those without children. The lobby area and lounges are lovely and clean also. The room was fine - except beds were hard. So hard we didn’t sleep well - but they were new mattresses, just not to our taste. However, the only flaw was the aircon didn’t work. We slept with the door open which was nice but we now all have lots of mosquito bites. It was too hot to have it closed despite being only 18/19 outside. This would be my only worry about coming here in high season. The hotel is perfectly places close to the beach and the shuttle every morning to Portaventura worked really well. Overall a lovely holiday for a great price.

Check in was so long. Stood in queue for over 30 minutes. Food was extremely poor. Not enough choice, low quality, off brand and always tepid. Never ever warm. Service times too late for a Brit, with dinner service not beginning until 7pm. Lifts constantly broken. Not great choice of spirits on all inclusive. Pink gin disappeared after first day. Only 2 beers on draft. One was off for half our visit. Painted the doors on our floor whilst we were staying there and it smelled vile. Gym was terrible. Treadmill belt slipped so can’t do more than walk on it. Machines all creaky and old. Plus points for the cleaning team. Who kept the room and hotel spotless and the food service team who were always smiling, bright and cheery and extremely helpful.

Room not clean enough find debris on the floor and hair in the shower. Food not good and very limited choice At dinner Roast beef served completely cold,queue for everything as lots of food was missing. Breakfast queue for pancakes 10 minutes Queue for Nutella and jams ask to be change they change Nutella but not jam ask again change with anger Missing pastry missing fruits coffee not good

Stayed here for a trip to Portventura. Was very impressed with the price paid. The hotel was lovely and very clean. Would definitely stay again xxx

Disgusting paid for 4 adults but under 18 given kids wrist bands not allowed on the roof pool or hot tubs in a mad over run pool with people literally jumping on your head half the pool closed and the floor crumbling under foot. Food hall madness and chaotic horrible staff who didn't try and help whilst I was there with any request. Don't waste your money nicer hotels cheaper in the area.

Very good value hotel that included breakfast and park access for a very reasonable price. Breakfast was good but a bit repetetive, and the room was great with good facilities but minor cosmetic damage to our bathroom and a lack of air con working in the room.

Room service impossible. Shamz when uou want yo finish your meal on the bedroom... Must be improved

Great value for money with the package of tickets included. Great proximity to the Portaventura parc and beachside!
