Salisbury North Bishopdown

Facilities were great, breakfast excellent, welcome rather cold

Good hotel. Ample parking and not too far from Salisbury centre. You do have to enter your car registration for free parking and there's lots of reminders about this. Room and bathroom were clean and tidy. Didn't use the restaurant at all, so can't comment on that.

Where to start… food on the first evening was mediocre at best. The menu choice was very limited and no breaded chicken dishes were available. After first sleep, no cooked breakfast as the chef hadn’t turned up. That’s ok we could deal with a continental. Premier plus room was ok. Just a bit dusty and dirty in places but everything worked. Ordering drinks from the bar was limited to bottles only as they had nothing on draught for three nights (so far at the time of writing this review). Ate out for three nights but chose to eat in again on the Thursday. 7.45pm we arrived at the half full restaurant to be turned away until 8.15. Arrived at 8.10, got a drink quite promptly only to wait 25 minutes for our order to be taken. Staff disappeared when needed. Two staff had no urgency and one seemed to be doing everything on her own including meet & greet, taking orders, clearing tables and making desserts. Whilst the other two plodded about in no hurry. In fact one was moving so slowly that she was cold and was wearing a big fluffy coat, you could have mistaken her for a guest rather than a staff member. We tried to give our order to her and she said she couldn’t take our order it would be down to the busy one to do (but then she took another tables order ten minutes later). We then waited another twenty minutes for the worst pizzas we have ever eaten. It was doughy and tasteless. The table that came in after us waited ten minutes for their meals. Won’t have another evening meal here.

Shocked and appalled !! The staff this evening in the Restaurant, were rude and useless. 1, Not enough staff for the amount of dinners 2, We watched from our table how other guest's were spoken down to and totally forgotten about. 3, Drinks took 20 mins to turn up, or not at all! Watched one table ask 3 times for there drink. 4, Portion size was small and not what we had been given on previous visits. Room was clean and tidy. Book here if all you want is a bed and shower, stay far away form the food and restaurant staff. This will be my last time booking here. NOT AT ALL THE Standard I have have come to know and expect from a Premier Inn

I stayed for 2 nights at Bishopdown in Salisbury, Absolutely amazing, friendly staff and value for money. The staff are very nice and the customer service is amazing. Comfy beds, very clean all the staff are very talkative. The beds really comfy just the right Firmness, very clean rooms and as always ample parking. And not to far from all the local shops. Cannot fault what so ever. 100% satisfied will stay there again. Thanks for a lovely stay.

The hotel is as advertised and is always a very good stay. Staff are friendly and helpful, rooms are ok but some showing their age. The new restaurant is a considerable improvement on the previous. Breakfast today was non existent, starting at 0630, I arrived just after 0700 to 3 mushrooms and no chef! You have 1 job! Extremely disappointed.
