We had a very negative experience with this bed and breakfast. trip.com made an error with the booking by selling it to me at the wrong rate. It also marked as dog friendly. When we arrived on the property the owner, Fiona, let me know that trip.com had made an error, and that I hadn’t paid enough for the booking. She then said that she was not dog friendly but I could stay there with the dog sleeping in the car.
I suggested I could find somewhere else provided they would cancel the booking. She agreed and said that she would cancel the booking so we went somewhere else. Afterwards when I asked for the refund it turns out that Fiona refused to cancel the booking even though she said to me in person that she would do this. I was very upset because obviously I could’ve stayed there overnight if she hadn’t told me that she would offer me a refund. I was really shocked as when I spoke to her on the phone she was unfriendly cold and absolutely vile. In great contrast to her husband who is extremely welcoming and friendly. I really don’t recommend and even though yes the app and Trip.com might be responsible for the error, the way that people handle conflict is the true testimony of a persons character.
