Arrived at Cheval Blanc Saint-Tropez on a sunny July 4th, prepared for a glorious reunion on the Côte d Azur. The suite was impeccably prepared and tailored to most preferences, with just a few small adjustments needed. Overall, the staff was exceptionally attentive and hospitable. The kind welcome note from Olivier was appreciated. This particular sea view suite offered two terraces with distinct perspectives on the Golfe de Saint-Tropez. The bedroom terrace provided a sweeping view of the hotel grounds, the beach, and the waters beyond. Special thanks for remembering our preferred reading material, Le Monde diplomatique and Cahiers du Cinéma. Dinner at La Vague d Or and breakfasts at La Terrasse were delightful, thanks to the quality of ingredients, presentation, and the hospitality of Thierry Di Tullio. Thierry, well-regarded across the Côte d Azur, demonstrated uncommon grace in his duties. This Cheval Blanc has a good beach and pool, and the gym is top-notch. Most hotel elements were well thought out, and the entire place was suffused with a signature scent evoking specific memories. The concierge staff was polished and professional, and the bell staff and courtesy car driver were also excellent. However, there were some hiccups. The initial welcome amenity in the suite fell below the standards of the Maison. A beach attendant mistook me for an interloper and aggressively pressed me for my bona fides. While breakfast was gracious, greater attentiveness to complete and timely order fulfillment would be appreciated. In-suite amenities did not all seem to be of the same high level of quality. Management interface on these issues was mostly consistent and prompt. Overall, Cheval Blanc Saint-Tropez left the impression of a well-meaning, driven, and hospitable team striving to deliver a unique experience. With a few tweaks and a greater focus on knowing their guests, this Maison can shine even brighter.
