Nestled in a lush garden with old oaks draped in moss, a large pond with running water and plentiful blooms, the Grey Owl Inn welcomed us with its serenity after a long drive. The place is impeccably maintained, and its owl themed decor oozes with southern charm and hospitality. Our room was perfectly appointed, with comfortable bed and pillows, array of good bath products and coffees and teas. The breakfast, included in the quite affordable price, was prepared to order and very delicious. Restaurants, shops and a gorgeous beach are a nice walk away. If your travels find you in St. Simons Island, make sure to visit the Grey Owl Inn!

A very peaceful and quiet setting. My wife and I spent a week in the Palms suite. Very comfortable with screened in porch overlooking gazebo and pond. Breakfasts were very good and Debit was very welcoming and helpful. A great place to stay when visiting St. Simons and Jekyll islands.

The Gray Owl is a charming B&B slightly off the beaten path but convenient to everything on the island. It is a very quiet retreat with a pretty pond with fountain. The breakfasts were great and Betty was an excelllent host.

Mike’s Birthday to St Simon
The hostess was very nice and the home reminded me of home. Breakfast was delicious and service’s with a smile. Very knowledgeable of the areas (dining, tourism and where to get drinks. The yard was well maintained and very beautiful ( very colorful plants). Will be returning in the fall. Thanks for a a memorable visit. Tye/Mike

We Northerners from New England had a terrific week at the Grey Owl Inn, a most welcoming, comfortable, and convenient place to stay and enjoy the beauty, sights, restaurants, long beach walks, and many other activities on St. Simons Island. Our stay was made all the more special by the Inn keeper's warm hospitality, including the “breakfast bag “ kindly packed for our early morning airport departure. We may never get over the succession of delicious breakfast choices presented every day -- omelets, giant pancakes, eggs benedict, and granola with yogurt, complemented by delicious bacon sausage, and plentiful fruit. It is tough going back to corn flakes and the real world!

"Whoo" should stay at the Grey Owl Inn
One of the best B&B's we've ever stayed in. It certainly lived up to it's website and delivered everything it promised. The setting was particularly lovely with the pond and beautiful old trees, and the owner was gracious and helpful without being intrusive. We look forward to going back!

Beautiful St. Simmons Island
I loved the property with its fountain pond and lush landscaping. It is within walking distance to the beaches and some very nice eateries. My room was themed about Dr. Albert Schweitzer and the safari camp where HRM Elizabeth II was staying when she inherited the throne upon her father's passing. The whole property is just filled with such details from books to gardens. And the breakfast in the sun room overlooking the garden was delicious and so relaxing (soothing if you will). Staff was awesome and helpful in finding things to see locally.
