Relais du Beffroi Chambres d'Hôtes

We werden vriendelijk ontvangen. De kamer was ruim en proper. Op de kamer was koffie en water voorzien. Fijn dat er authentieke elementen in het gebouw bewaard zijn gebleven. Het ontbijt was voor ons zeker voldoende. Het vers geperst fruitsap heeft gesmaakt. Tip: een eitje bij het ontbijt

This tired traveller arrived with a party of 4 at the Relais to find ourselves in front of a formidable ancient wall and entry gate. Ringing the bell we were warmly received by our host who hopped on a scooter and directed us to the rear entry accessible to cars. Our French leaves much to be desired and it was fortunate that our host produced a pocket translator allowing us to follow his tour of the grounds and instructions. The Relais used to be a farm, offers a beautiful garden and sheltered outside areas inviting guests to relax, sip a drink, play ping pong etc. There is a communal living room as well as the various guest rooms, all accessible via a dongle. Rooms are newly done in a very tasteful and artistic manner, ours featured an excellent bathroom with corresponding amenities - just lovely. Breakfast featured freshly pressed orange juice and freshly cut fruit, lovely yogurt as well as heartier fare, staff was attentive and we were not wanting for anything. Our hosts run a slice of paradise and we highly recommend the Relais for your next stop or longer stay in the area. In fact, we loved it and will happily divert our next journey just so to enjoy staying at the Relais again.

Nous avons séjourné dans cette maison d'hôte pendant le festival de musique de Saint Riquier et nous avons été très agréablement surpris par l'accueil chaleureux des (nouveaux) propriétaires. A 2 pas des salles de concert (au passage, nous recommandons les spectacles qui étaient d'excellent niveau). La propriété est immense.

This was our second stay here, when we were travelling back to the Eurotunnel in Calais. It’s perfectly located to give easy access and the journey to Calais is about 70 miles. Parking is available. We stayed in new room 2, which has a comfortable large double bed. Everything was spotlessly clean and tea/coffee facilities were available and bottled water was provided. The owners are exceptionally friendly and gave us a very warm welcome. The ensuite bathroom has a separate bath and huge rainfall shower, which was very welcome, after a long day travelling. Breakfast was delightful, with a range of home made preserves, fresh orange juice, French bread, croissants, yoghurts and an option of a poached egg and pancakes. Marcel is an artist and his work is displayed around the property. St Riquier is a delightful place and has numerous historical attractions and a variety of places to eat an evening meal. There is a local cafe bar, where we were made to feel very welcome. Some of the rooms are located up narrow stairs, but the newest rooms are on one level, for those people with mobility issues. Thank you for a wonderful stay! We will visit next time we are in France.

Excellent séjour. Chambre spacieuse dans untres joli domaine, bien équipée et hyper propre. Petit déjeuner avec des produits maison, brioches, pain, confiture, crêpes à la demande etc.. Propriétaires accueillants, nous y retournerons c'est certain.
