"5 stars posted, 3 deserved. Non-existent double glazing, the first two nights without sleeping. We were exhausted and needed to rest. So after the 1st night we anticipated by asking them to accept an early departure free of charge if the second night was like the 1st. This was the case, the marching band until midnight. We wanted to shorten 3 nights, the answer was no. I asked for someone from management to come and see the sound of the brass band under the windows at 11:30 p.m. but obviously no one came. Don't look for the manager, he is non-existent, yet he passed by us. With 10 rooms in all in the hotel I think he knew who we were. You know Mr. Manager, if you had deigned to meet dissatisfied customers things would have been said and not written here. This is a miscalculation on your part. When I explained my noise problem to the receptionist, his response was astonishing: "yes, but Madam, you are booking a hotel in the city center! you had to find out first! “It is well known, in the center of NY or Paris, customers who book in hotels do not sleep!!!! I'm dumb !!!! They are downtown! Ridiculous breakfast (see photo), non-existent sense of service. The only ones who deserve kudos are the ladies who take care of the rooms as well as the young man in the outside bar in the morning (who worked at Costes). The Director would have a lot to learn from this gentleman in terms of dress, customer orientation and professionalism. Don't expect 5 stars, it's not."

"We had mice in our apartment at Cap Estérel – both in the kitchen and the closet. There was mouse droppings on the kitchen table, and we don’t know if we ended up eating contaminated food. We complained multiple times over several days, but were not taken seriously. Unfortunately the mice started to have activities in our room while we were on the room and sleeping. Only after several calls, around 1:00 AM, they agreed to give us an another apartment. But no one came and helped with the mice. They asked us to look at it our self. We were traveling with three children, who were scared, and we had to throw all our food away. We lost one whole day of vacation, and all of groceries. We got compensation of 15% which even did not cover our loss of food that we had to throw out. When we asked for more, they said that our first apartment was left unsatisfied -we left the room at middle of the night with 3 small children, and NO help what so ever from staff, and we forgot to take the sheets and towels in the bag. Really disappointed that they use this as excuse. After many years as loyal guests, we are deeply disappointed, this ruined a large part of our holiday."

"We spent two days and two nights at this hotel. There were three couples of friends, so we booked three rooms. Upon arrival, earlier than planned, we asked at reception if it would be possible to eat a little earlier, at 8:30 pm instead of 9 pm. They told us it wasn't possible! Yet the restaurant was empty, with only two tables for two people... The next day, we had reserved sun loungers on the beach, as well as a table at the restaurant. There too, we were told it wasn't possible to have lunch at 1 pm because the restaurant was full. We booked the 2 pm slot. Once we were settled on the beach at noon, we noticed that the restaurant was empty, with only two or three tables occupied. We asked the beach manager if it would be possible to eat a little earlier, at 1:30 pm instead of 2 pm, and were told, "No, not possible, the restaurant is full." Yet we were right across the street and never saw the restaurant fill up, and we were even advised to leave our sun loungers at 1:55 pm. I won't bore you with the details of the lunchtime ordeal! The next day at lunchtime, we decided to stay by the pool and eat at the poolside restaurant, and that's where the disaster began. We waited over an hour and a half for our food, and three out of the six items were told, one after the other, that they were unavailable on the menu. The wine was also missing from the cellar, but of course, the menu was missing! The restaurant manager or the head waiter finally offered us a digestif, coffee, and a bottle of water in light of this disastrous situation. And to top it all off, we spent two nights in the same room, and well, no housekeeping service came to ours... the previous night's breakfast was still there the next evening, the bed wasn't made, the trash wasn't emptied, and the bathroom wasn't cleaned! And all this for the same price. At check-out, the hostess noted my dissatisfaction without going into detail, but still told me that she would like to see us again so we could see how much they had grown and taken note of everything."

"This hotel doesn't even deserve its 2nd star. They absolutely do not follow their customers' wishes, and do not respond to any emails. I had booked a courtyard view room on the ground floor or 1st floor at the beginning of April for June 13th, having problems with one of my knees, I found myself on the 2nd floor overlooking the street (very busy). It stinks of mustiness or mold, the owner tells me it's "the smell of the cold". And when I tell them that they could have warned me beforehand that they didn't have a room on the 1st floor, that I would have been elsewhere, she tells me that "there are only 4 hotels in Saint Raphaël"... obvious dishonesty. She offered me a courtyard view room on the same landing, help, it was a broom closet! I preferred to stay in mine, room 10. The room is awful. The mattress is hard, 2 ultra-soft pillows, no bolster. No trash can at the foot of the desk. A kettle that's just for show, because there's no cup, and no tea or anything else. The bad smell I smelled came from the bathroom pipes, which were very small and not ventilated because there was no window. The shower was right next to the toilet. You have to wait ages to get hot water. No toilet brush. No toilet paper holder. No shelf to store your toiletries, you have to put them on the toilet bowl. I had a terrible night, between the hardness of the mattress and the lack of soundproofing... I quickly ran away early in the morning, preferring to be outside than in this one-eyed hotel. Avoid it, definitely!"

"Hotel is situated in a perfect position right on the seafront and with easy access to the town. Private parking is limited, costing 15€ per day, but we were lucky to have a parking space right in front of the hotel for our complete stay. Rooms are clean and tidy with all facilities that we required, the bed was super comfortable. All the staff were professional, friendly and helpful. We will definitely stay at this hotel for our future visits."

"This hotel is right by the beach at the Calanque of Altheor, but also underneath the historic train viaduct. So there is noise around this hotel but the motorbikes on the road are the most annoying, you don’t really notice the trains. We wanted a room with a kitchenette and that’s why we chose this hotel. Once upon a time it obviously had a restaurant but now it only does breakfast and the rooms seem to have been converted mostly to small studios with facilities. There is adequate shaded parking. The room was very modern and fresh with plenty of storage, good lighting, a modern bathroom and new kitchenette as well as a nice balcony. From our room overlooking the beach we could hear the waves lapping on the shore. The kitchenette is well thought out with a hob, microwave and even a mini dishwasher. A decent supply of crockery and utensils as well as washing up liquid and salt and pepper. There was a Nespresso machine but we were only given 2 capsules for 3 days. We used the kettle. There is a safe in the room which is handy for going to the beach or using the small but very pleasant heated pool. The beach was raked every morning and never got too busy while we were there. Breakfast was included and was a good quality typical French one with cereal, some fruit, lovely bread, yogourts, cheese, eggs and cold meat. It was served on the very attractive terrace. It must have been a lovely restaurant. You are about 2 miles from Agay with restaurants and basic services (and a good launderette) and a bit further from St Raphael for decent supermarkets and services. You can drive up onto the Massif d’Esterel where there are great views and walks, but there isn’t much you can walk to from the hotel. However the train seems to stop regularly at Antheor and the station is about 10 minutes walk so you would not have to be dependent on the car. Overall we enjoyed this hotel and its surroundings."
