Viking Jr. Motel

We decided to give Viking, Jr., a chance, but we will not be coming back. It appears there are people living at the motel or very long term guests. Several of these guests were hanging out together playing music, etc., for several hours on Friday night. The room furnishings were old and dirty. There were crumbs on the floor (like broken tortilla chips) that should have been vacuumed. The bathroom was so small it was hard to close the door when inside the bathroom. The water in the shower was lukewarm at best, not hot. On a positive note, the air conditioner worked, and drowned out the noise from the long term guests.

We drove in, looked and drove back out. It looked scroungy and dirty on the outside. There was garbage cans overrun with trash right in front, 2 little kids playing in the gravel driveway. There were several old pickups in the small parking lot and weeds greeted us. It looked old and very unkept. The price was $105 for this. I called to tell them that we weren't staying there and I told her why. She said we had to pay anyway. I WARN you that the picture on the Internet is not what you get. TripAdvisor better get out there and check this out before they recommend it on there website!!!!

Not great. The room was full of flies. There was a huge gap in the door. The room was small and had an funny smell. Could have been cleaned better. Very thin walls. The people next to us were grilling on the back of a pickup and the smell was terrible.

Motel has new owners , so they are gradually fixing up the place ...rooms are alot cleaner, everything works in rooms. Overall its a nice place to meet new people from all over and location is great for liquor runs, grocery, and walking around

We were assigned room 11 first. When I opened the door, the mold / mildew odor was more than I could stand. The microwave, refrigerator and coffee maker looked like 1980s garage sale items. I asked for another room and was given room 17 and she said this was her last room. When I opened that door, the smell of bleach and urine was overwhelming. I turned on the AC unit, which was falling out of the wall, but it was not going to remove the smell or dry out the room. We left and stayed somewhere else for the night. This place is horrible! Spend $20 more for a room that won’t make you nauseated.
