Carlton House Motel and Suites

We booked this hotel for a couple nights only. We arrived at about 630 and just caught the owner who checked us in. The staff was pleasant and check in was quick. The room was a 1BR condo with a separate bedroom and bathroom through the bedroom. Everything seemed clean. The bedroom was a little small with 2 double beds pushed up against each wall. It was a bit clumsy getting into the far side of the bed. I wished I had a single queen bed instead. There was a TV in the bedroom. There was plenty of storage in the room for clothes and such The living area had a couch and recliner and medium sized TV. Both the living room and the bedroom had window AC units. They both seemed to work just fine. The living area had a small kitchen area and dining table. The kitchen had pots and pans and coffee maker, microwave, and stuff, but we didn’t cook much. The bathroom was medium small, but clean and functional. Lighting was fine. There were a few outlets for charging phones, but we could have used a couple more. The grounds were nice. The pool wasn’t huge, but it was clean. pool towels were provided. The beach was a 5 minute walk away. So was the waffle house and the main road. The hotel was very convenient. We were given a parking pass for one vehicle. The hotel had wifi, Mostly strong signal, but we only got 2 bars some of the time at the end unit. Overall the stay was just fine. It was clean, convenient, and quiet.

Little gem of a place. The motel was clean, well looked after and the staff were friendly. Centrally located between the beach and restaurants.

Cute! What a cute find! My boyfriend and I love trying new places for staycations.The office was locked when we came to check in, so we called and checked in over the phone and the lady was very nice and fast with our check in. It seems that no one was staying at the motel while we were there so we had it all to ourselves. It was clean, quiet, and near all of our favorite places we love to visit while we are here. Walkability is great, and a lot of the good breakfast and lunch spots are all within a 10 minute walk. You will not be disappointed!
