Upham Beach Inn

The place was shut down… didn’t even stay there. Was not contacted about them being shut down.

Never received door code. Could not get in contact with anyone for door code. Customer service was horrible. No return phone call. A completely horrible experience

Smelly room The room was a non smoking room, but it has a very bad smoke smell.. Almost smelt like smoke and mildew.

Unlikely to get the room type you paid for We were not pleased with our stay, they placed us in the wrong room and refused to doing anything to correct the issue. I specifically booked a room with 2 BEDS and we were placed in a room with 1 bed and a couch. When I contacted the property manager about the error I was told that it was Expedia's fault and there's nothing they could do. He said we could leave if we wanted and we'd be offered a partial refund?!! Absolutely ridiculous Also, the AC unit in the bedroom did not work so it was freezing in the main room and hot as hell in the bedroom. Although the hotel location is good, I can't recommend staying here.

Excellent Everything you need-perfect get away within a couple of minutes walk from the beach. Property is spotless and well maintained with a heated pool and cabana as well as sun beds and umbrellas. Guest laundry on site and a great beach bar next door that does breakfast/lunch etc.

I asked Dave to change my reservation dates by providing permission through ******* and he will not provide the assistance I require. I requested this change on March 13th through ******* (approx. 8 hours past the cancellation date) who attempted to contact him multiple times over a week however he did not respond. I finally got a hold of him personally on March 21 (after leaving messages) to request he provide permission to ******* to cancel my request and to book personally through him on alternate dates very close to the same time frame I originally booked in late April. He told me that there is no need to call or text him as he is not willing to assist me. The reasons for my trip changes are beyond my control. I cannot believe that a hotel would not consider making changes a month before a trip. It sounds like I am not the only one who has had bad experiences with this hotel.
