St Moritz Hotel

We had a wonderful two night stay with breakfast and dinner in the hotel restaurant. We stayed in a suite which was well equipped and nicely presented. The coffee machine didn’t work but was soon checked and replaced. We had spa treatments in the cowshed spa which were lovely and enjoyed the use of the pool, saunas and steam room which have been completely redone since our last stay and are fabulous. Our meals in the restaurant were wonderful and the service was excellent. We used the free shuttle to come back from Polzeath and to visit Rock. An absolutely fabulous couple of days. We’ve been visiting for many years and it’s still our first choice for a break away. Can’t wait for our next visit.

I suffered a slight stroke just before Xmas and we had considered cancelling this years event, but we both had faith that St.Moritz wouldn't let us down. My wife had contacted in advance to inform the venue of my current condition.They couldn't do enough for us. Gemma at reception was superb throughout our stay. Our newly refurbished garden suite was perfect and very spacious.I was also provided with access to another room with a full wet room that was perfect for my restricted mobility. The health spa has been refurbished to an excellent standard with more seating around the pool, although the Wild Spa last year was great fun. The NY meal was much improved on previous years and was definitely the highlight of the evening with less time given after the meal until midnight for music and dancing. The seven courses were all delicious with the restaurant manager (providing a brief summary of each course and local suppliers) Thanks to Sara for bringing over our desserts as we sat in the bar area. We were generously treated to a bottle of champagne from the venue as a Thank You for our custom over the years. We have visited every New Year since 2019 (excluding Pandemic year). Breakfast was also excellent,with omlettes available to order as well a buffet style selection. Despite my condition, our group thoroughly enjoyed our two night stay, once again. Special mention for Gemma at reception who was particularly helpful during our stay and a credit to St Moritz! n.b Auld Lang Syne is a great tradition and a must just after the New Year bells.

A Sunday afternoon escape to the great st Moritz hotel. Set in stunning surroundings. We enjoyed a beautiful trip to the spa and to have a massage. Fantastic, welcoming and accommodating staff especially Martina on spa reception. All followed with delicious roast dinner in the lovely restaurant.
