Greenlight Inn & Suites St James

I have late stage MS, Lupus, and Interstitial lung disease. Staff modified their cleaning routine - and I was not rushed to keep the standard checkout process. Comfortable beds and good water pressure. Very clean and great air circulation.

This was a very nice motel; very unique. The bathrooms were spacious as well as the hotel suite itself. We had double queens, which were very comfortable with really nice sheet. The staff were also kind enough to give me an extra blanket. Everything was very clean. I liked that you could park your car right outside the room so you didn’t have to carry your bags so far. The pool looked very clean, even though we did not use it. The breakfast was more than adequate with an interesting machine that made pancakes with a wave of your hand! There were biscuits and gravy, bagels, oatmeal, and cold cereals. Coffee was great. This motel was a perfect little gem and the staff were very nice. I’d stay here again.

Was back this year again on business in Saint James and had a good stay at the Greenlight once again. My family accompanied me on this trip. At first our room for 3 days the heat and air was not working properly so they moved us to an inside room which was even better. The staff is very friendly at Greenlight. We had a wonderful breakfast with several hot items in addition to the usual continental fare. The pool heater was also repaired and my family had a good swim. Very clean rooms and a convenient location next to Interstate 44.

We debated between this hotel and another similarly-rated national brand one in the area. We took a chance because this one had a gov't/military rate and EV charging. It turned out this was a perfect choice. The hotel is super easy, and quick to access from the interstate with many fast food options nearby. The room was comfortable and well-maintained. It's a older-style motel, which means the walls were thicker so the rooms were very quiet. Everything was clean and nicely decorated. We could tell they recently updated. The breakfast had many choices. What truly made the difference was the customer service. I forgot my laptop in the room but didn't notice until a day later. The staff were honest and held it for 3 days until we could return. Everyone was very kind and helpful. We were so happy with our first visit we stayed again on our return trip. We're glad to support a local business over a national chain.

The room is a little dated. At breakfast there were no eggs, just the biscuits and gravy (sigh) and the usually other stuff, waffles, yogert, some cereals etc. The room being near the highway was very noisy, we had earplugs and a white noise machine on and still it was loud. we have stayed at other hotels on the interstate and they are not that noisy. Would probably pass on this one if we were ever in the are again.

We have always stayed here when we come to StJames. The staff is very friendly. The room has always been clean. If I have any questions or want something the staff is ready to help. We stay in a handicapped room. The bathroom is large and the shower has good bars to hold onto. This is very important to us as my husband has difficulty when showering.

Convenient location right off highway 44. Kind of dated but was fine for one night. The breakfast wasn't huge but had enough things to pick from. Very close to St James winery and the Public House beer company restaurant.

Had a good 5 night stay this past week. The front desk staff was kind and accommodating as well as the housekeeping staff that asked most days if I needed anything. The indoor pool is closed but they have a new heater ordered so they can attempt at having it available soon. Their are 3 machines in the workout room and I used the treadmill 3 different days. Breakfast was ok. The last 2 days however they did not have biscuits and gravy which was the main substance food available the first 3 days. They did have a waffle machine, bagels, toast, applesauce, fruit, coffee, juice and a few other items. King room was spacious and well cleaned and maintained. The location was very close less than a half mile from the church I was ministering at, so that made the stay very convenient. There were a few areas that needed to be improved but a member of management let me know they had just purchased the property 3 weeks ago and it was evident that there are a number of improvements they are currently working on.
