Premier Inn Jersey St Helier (Charing Cross)

酒店位於市中心的大街上，往返機場及各大景點都非常方便。樓下還有超級市場。房間面積比預期中大，乾淨企理，廁所還有浴缸，玩完一整天後，可以浸浴消除疲勞。不過房間的隔音設施比較差，經常聽到走廊和隔籬房的聲音，睡眠質素會受影響。

Never again.........5th time here. Other 4 ok for the price. Here till 14th and cant wait to go. No drinks, shortage, shorage on some food, waiting 90 minutes for 2 courses in a super quiet restuarant cos staff talking and dont seem to know what their doing. Room - hole in the wall by socket where USB should be, silicone on bath black, extractor in bathroom dont work..........................tired, unkept, no investment int basic maintenance, and ultimate wifi, what a joke, 8mbps at best.........laughable, still buffers on streaming so dont waste your money. Not just on ultiate wifi, dont waste your money coming here. If it must be a Premier Inn, go for the Bath St but all in all, pay more and gt what you pay for....................not less, alot less service, quality etc than you pay for. Reminds me of a 1990's Trvelodge, and we know how bad thhey were.

I emailed in advance asking for an accessible room but was not allocated one and on checking in nothing was available. Thankfully I do have some limited ability but the raised shower base and very high bed are not helpful for me. If you have run out of orange juice (two days running!) why don't you have the flexibility to pop next door to the Co-op and buy a carton or two? Is it customer first or silly restrictions first??? No Corona beer available either. There seemed to be a bit of a 'can't be bothered' attitude about the restaurant.

There was no wifi. This is not the first time that I have stayed at Premier Inn Charing Cross Jersey and had no wifi. I was given a code for ultra wifi, and that didn't work either. I spent half an hour at reception, and the young woman didn't have a clue. She asked another resident to try to help me. In the end, she blamed my computer. But then another resident came to reception with the same complaint, and she had to concede it was the hotel system. I asked her to report it to management for a complaint in the morning, as it was late by then. She didn't do that. In the morning, there was a notice on the desk, apologising to all guests that there was no wifi. I asked to speak to a manager. I was told I could not do so. I insisted. Eventually a young woman with a bad attitude came to the desk, and simply told me to complain to Premier Inn customer services as there was nothing she could do. It was all appalling. I cannot stay at Premier Inn on business if they have no wifi.

I am generally speaking a big fan of Premier Inns - they give you all the stuff you need, and none of the stuff you don't, and keep it super affordable. That's exactly how I like it for somewhere that I will spend most of my time unconscious anyhow. You basically know what you are going to get every time, and it is reliably of a certain standard. However that being said, not all Premier Inns are equal. And, it has to be said, that this particular Premier Inn was definitely starting to feel a bit tired and in need of a refresh. Not in a disastrous way, but more in a bit-below-average way. I posted some photos of the bathroom where the ceiling clearly needs work. And on our second day one of the lifts broke down and never got fixed before we left, so we took the stairs a lot. I don't want to overdo it - nothing was a disaster. But overall it felt a bit below average compared to what you normally get at a Premier Inn. Still felt like reasonable value overall, but I have certainly stayed at better Premier Inns. On the plus side: location is pretty good. Just a 5 minute walk to all the offices down on the Esplenade, and located amongst the bars and restaurants with a supermarket literally right underneath you, you can't fault that. Bottom line: I'd probably still stay there again if/when I go back to St Helier, but I hope that they do a little bit of refreshing before then.
