My wife and I were looking to be spoilt whilst travelling from Jersey to San Sebastian in Spain, a stop over at Maison d'Estournel was the perfect place to relax and unwind in truly opulent surroundings. Whilst we arrived mid afternoon, we maximised the various facilities, relaxing by the pool before enjoying a wonderful supper. The following day we also made the most of the 12pm check out by utilising the gym before breakfast, then the pool, after, to get us in the mood for our onward journey. The team were attentive and service was impeccable throughout. I have already recommended the property to two colleagues and I have only been back from our trip for three days.

A charming boutique hotel set amidst some of the world’s most iconic vineyards. During our stay in the sweltering 37°C heat, the room’s air-conditioning performed impressively, though it’s a pity the lounge wasn’t equally cooled. The hotel’s sole restaurant could benefit from a broader menu to match the exceptional setting. Surprisingly, even for in-house guests, Cos d’Estournel wines were steeply priced. A more accessible tasting experience would truly elevate the stay.

This place is HEAVEN! Beautiful location, warm and welcoming staff, fabulously comfortable room, elegant, discrete, calm environment focused on relaxation. Loved every minute. Was very sad to leave and found myself a little bit tearful saying goodbye to the wonderful and caring staff. It was heaven. Will be recommending this forever to anyone who will listen!

A dream place, absolutely stunning setting, beautiful interior decoration, large rooms, cloudy beds and the wonderful fragrance of the brand in every room. Such a shame the excellent Chef, Mr. Deschamps, no longer leaves his creative imagination wander with the great produce from the orchard and has a limited menu. And, although some of the attendants were remarkably nice, others were not up to the quality expected. The service at the bar could be improved and definitely be more generous: ridiculously miser portions at sky rocketting prices. A lovely stay, that makes one feel in a private home, a real luxury in the heart of Medoc.

Such a beautiful property. Wonderful food. And AMAZING, personal service. Nothing is impossible for this team, Hugo, the proprietor/manager, makes you feel like it is your home. Everyone was so warm, welcoming and wonderful, Very warm, comfortable and relaxed. Not stuffy at all. Great food. Gorgeous breakfast including freshly baked French pastries. Beautiful dinners -- take your choice fancy or relaxed. And of course an AMAZING wine list. So close to the amazing wineries of St Estephe. The hotel offered E-bikes to tour the wineries and the gorgeous countryside. A beautiful, modern, well appointed gym. A gorgeous pool. Stylish modern rooms with sumptuous linens and stunning French decor. I cannot recommend this highly enough if you are in Bordeaux for food and wine.

Ci sono stato diversi anni fa, durante una gita con i colleghi. Scoperto per caso, girando a caso tra i vigneti bordolesi. Abbiamo mangiato benissimo e siamo stati trattati da signori. Cucina tipica raffinata del posto e vini eccellenti. Fermatevi.

Beautiful chateau and property that feels so relaxing and comfortable that you don’t want to leave. Staff, service, food and all facilities (pool, exercise room, etc) are excellent. We really enjoyed talking with all staff members who were very helpful and friendly. We look forward to returning soon!
