St Croix Suites - St Croix Falls

Terrible terrible hotel would not ever stay her, opened the door and a mouse ran out, the front desk staff was rude. Not a very nice place.

When we first walked in the lobby is hot and stuffy and there was an older man sitting with his barefoot on the couch. The lady that checked us in was pleasant, but seemed busy with phone calls and lobby filling up. We got to our room and I noticed a pillow stuffed behind the post of the bed, I did take a pic of this and showed it to the clerk and asked if housekeeping was done which our room was marked off as it was. She did offer to take care of it for us, but we said we would get it, may want to check under the beds when cleaning as there was a plastic bottle and cup under there. When we went to get our bags the older man was in the lobby, but this time barefoot on the coffee table. The continental breakfast consisted of: sliced bread, gallon of milk and fruit bowl in the fridge, some waffle batter sitting on counter in a pitcher, and a few pastries....coffee also ends at 9am. The fireplace in our room didn't turn on, I didn't mention this at checkout as the checkout is basically putting your key in a box, not even a "How was your experience?" Also, we found the iceberg that sunk the Titanic in the mini fridge, which limits space.

This place is absolutely disgusting. We were in a second floor unit facing the parking lot on the back side of the building, it had an exterior walkway. To have any sort of light in the room we had to open the blinds, or deal with it being dark in the room. Everyone that walked by had looked in to our room. The bed was very uncomfortable. A king, with 3 very flat pillows. A bathroom that looked like it was ready to fall apart with nasty towels, none even remotely matched, they were scratchy and nasty looking. You can't get any extra pillows or towels because they say they don't have enough to give extra. So you'd better bring your own of any size you may need.I'm glad I packed beach towels, we used paper towels for everything else. The "dinette" if you can call it that, had an actual office chair, and a chair you'd expect to see in a hotel. The couch..... I never touched it for fear of what what was on or in it. The decor was uhhhh very 1970's the smoke detector looked like it quit working in the 80's the fuse box.... let's not go there. Stains all over everything, dead bugs in every corner, cobwebs in most of the corners. Garbage under the sink, where a can should be. If you want to use the shower.....There's very little water pressure. The complementary toiletries were a sample size half empty bottle of shampoo, and a few standard hotel bars of hand soap. There were car repairs going on in the parking lot. Pulling up to the building the signage is minimal, with only one vehicle in the front of the building thats covered half way in tarps, it gave a bates motel vibe. Many of the other "guests" gave myself and my boyfriend that feeling of i could not walk out of the room without him. The parking lot is in shambles. Sleeping in the car in a random parking lot would have been safer and cleaner. Staff was argumentative about everything and magically forgot how to speak English unless they were taking your money.

Friendly staff, poor room cleanliness. The room was rundown, far more than I expected. There were gnats everywhere, the sheets constantly felt damp, and the tv didn’t even work. I chose not to make mention to the staff, seeing as I’ve seen the reviews from here beforehand.. The staff themselves were kind, very polite and friendly. I had an okay time, but the constant feeling of being both slightly damp and having some of the floors / walls partially falling apart didn’t make up for it. Spent my time outside as much as I could..

The beds were comfortable. Our stay was good. We would probably stay there again if we were in the area. It was a good value.
