Hampton Inn St. Augustine Beach

The staff was very responsive and friendly. I thought it was a great stay. It is an older hotel, and it shows its age but they do a great job making sure you have an excellent visit.

My husband and myself spent a week at this Hampton Inn. We’ve stayed at many Hampton Inns across the country. This one was a disappointment. There were some bright spots. Vanessa at the front desk was a shining star. Always upbeat. The young lady in the breakfast area was also cheerful and helpful. The housekeeping staff was very pleasant. The hotel itself needs some TLC. The pool area was sadly neglected. 3 of the 4 table umbrellas barely functioned. The whole time we were there, 2 bottle caps and a used tea bag were not swept up from the pool deck. The sand was never blown off at night. The foot shower as you left the beach before entering the hotel or pool deck had so much sand around it that needed to be swept or shoveled away. Weeds were growing in the drains and under the privacy fence. The landscaping needed some sprucing up. Weeds were taking over. The mulch was escaping into the parking lot. Pool towels are available from the front desk. They were smaller than the bath towels from your room. The breakfast offerings were pretty much the same every day. No variety. No fresh fruit.

Probably one of the best hotels I’ve ever stayed at in my life. Everyone was welcoming and the young lady at breakfast was very kind and made you feel right at home. The pool was great. The access to the beach was terrific. I would gladly stay there again.

Great view of the ocean and sunrise from our balcony. Easy walk to the beach. Nice pool area. Hotel and room were clean and inviting. Within easy walking distance of several nice casual restaurants. Other Hampton Inns I’ve stayed at had nicer more modern bathrooms.

when we arrived, there was water dripping from the ceiling onto the desk. We were told it was from humidity. There was also water dripping on the floor. The first room we were in was a very last room at the end of the hall. even tho We reserved our rooms several weeks earlier. We are seniors with a walker so we requested a room close to the elevator. We arrived to get the very last room at the end of the hall even though there were empty rooms in between. After requesting another room we were moved the next day. The next room, we were in felt really damp, even the bed, carpet and counters felt damp. it got So bad the tile floors had pools of water. We requested maintenance who came and did some adjusting to the air conditioner and thermostat.. it Was so bad the next day, my nephew, put towels on the floor for us to walk on to keep from falling,We again called maintenance this guy didn’t see a problem. Finally we ask for the manager who moved us to another room. I want to say Vanassa at the front desk,the young lady in the dining room and the manager are wonderful but Hampton hotels are getting old they do a few cosmetic things but there are major issues. also, if you want to pay for an ocean view request the fourth floor if you’re down, you’re gonna have to try to look through the trees and you can barely see the ocean that is not worth paying the extra money for. This is the worst Hampton we have stayed in and we will be looking for other brands for upcoming trips. to be fair, they did give us one free night.

Entire staff we encountered were friendly and very helpful, particularly the young lady at breakfast. Hotel is very dated but reasonably clean. Our room was by the side door and slammed and banged all night. The air conditioning unit blows directly on the bed and the only chair in the room. Coffee and hot water urns set up for all night service frequently contained lukewarm product. We had to ask for additional pillows because the two already there were very flat. Would not stay here again-too many other hotels nearby.

This is a nice hotel located on the Eastern side of the street so that it is on the beach. We had an ocean view room with a balcony and it was worth the extra charge. The front desk was very helpful. The only downside was the fact that they did not have area set aside with a computer for the residents to use. This was the one time that I did not take my laptop. This is the first hotel that I have stayed in for many years that put new towels in the bathroom every day and made up the be bed every day.

A big thank you to Vanessa Lawrence at the front desk. She went above and beyond to make us feel welcomed and special. Hampton Inn is lucky to have such capable and professional people on their staff. I’ve come to rely on Hampton Inn’s. They are always so clean and fresh. This one did not disappoint.
