We have stayed overnight multiple times at Barkly Suites over the past couple of years. It is exceptional value. The apartment is generously sized with a bedroom and well appointed bathroom, plus combined living and kitchenette. It is perfect for an overnight stay or a longer break. The fully cooked breakfast plus cereal, juice and toast sets you up well for the rest of the day. As Hopetoun Road is a quiet road and the property is well set back from the road, the stay is very quiet and peaceful. It is a short drive to the main shops, restaurants and bars. We are keen to come back for a more extended stay to explore other parts of Rutherglen and the Murray River. Christine is a fantastic and friendly host. Nothing is too much trouble for her and she takes great pride in presenting her property. We feel very welcome staying here.

Chris and Ian provide a well appointed, pet friendly ‘home away from home ‘. They are welcoming hosts who provide two large and well equipped suites with large rooms , bathroom/ laundry facilities and outdoor patios with barbecues. There are many wineries , restaurants and vibrant country towns around . Chris and Ian are engaging hosts and Chris makes a hearty and welcome breakfast. A very relaxing stay and one we have booked for a repeat .

Simply stunning!
Spacious, clean,and surrounded by a beautiful garden!
The hosts are welcoming and our stay was extremely restful and enjoyable.

The communication is A1. I asked for a early check in and it was no problem at all. The apartment was huge. It had a separate bedroom, bathroom, kitchen and lounge area.
The surrounding area around the property was just beautiful, with freshly mowed lawns and manicured gardens.
The hosts were delightful, available for a chat, but also respected our privacy.
I would give anything to stay a week here, its just beautiful.
A home cooked breakfast was also provided, and it was fresh, hot and delicious.
Five stars from me!

Spacious Accommodation
Lovely Modern Spacious Accommodation in Rutherglen
a really beautiful property on the outskirts of town, a lasting memory having breakfast on the terrace with the sounds and smells of the country air.

Ian was a great host. Always there for a talk. The property is wonderful. Rooms are big and well fitted.
The bed was good for me but my wife found it a bit hard. Breakfast provided was good.

Wonderful experience! Hosts Christine and Ian most obliging. Rooms meticulously clean and well appointed. Room were of a luxurious size with elegant furnishing. Gardens a delight to sit and reflect on a day of eating and wine tasting. Thank you 10/10
