This place has definitely seen better days. We had a packed itinerary and literally just slept here, and the beds were ok, comfortable, not too hard or soft. The bathroom probably left the most to desire - while the water was warm, the bathtub was leaking, so no matter how well the curtain was placed the floor got soaked. Water pressure was better than expected. I'm not sure what the situation on domestic appliances is in Iraq but the general cleanliness of the carpets both in the rooms and in the common areas (breakfast room, hallways etc) left much to be desired - a good vacuum was sorely needed.

Llegamos al hotel y todo eran problemas, para el pago (no acepta tarjetas, cuando por la categoría pensamos que si que aceptaría) al cambio contaban igual euros que dólares, cuando por su categoría no tendría que hacerlo, nos obligaban a dejar el pasaporte si no pagábamos por adelantado, siendo que no teníamos cash. No se, me sentí como si pensaran que los íbamos a estafar?. Quien ha estado en Bagdad sabe que es imposible ir por Bagdad sin el pasaporte por los controles que hay en cada esquina. El resto de días el trato con el personal mejoró, pero porque intenté que no me afectara la antipatía de algunos de los trabajadores. El bar del piso 18 es una estafa, pedimos 2 cervezas al cambio carísima (entiendo, es cerveza, pero es pasan) y encima nos empezaron a traer comida que no pedimos, suerte que la devolvimos, y el personal todo el rato encima haciéndote consumir. Tuvimos que pedir todo, las toallas, la habitaciones si no avisas, no la hacen el wifi deja que desear... en fin, nada que objetar para un hotel de Bagdad pero si para el Palestina que va de hotel de lujo. Muchos otros son mejor en relación calidad/precio, la verdad

I am surprised at reviews from some people we stay 6 nights room 1230 and we really liked the room which had great views of the City. Food was ample and good choice of salads and meat dishes. We travelled with Al Barkat Travel Group from Leicester. The service provided by them was excellent can't fault anything. Al Barkat Travel and Tours were brilliant we were with them for 8 days visting oalmost 30 Holy Shrines. They made this trip a most memorable. Many thanks to all their team especially Moulana Khalid May Allah bless them all.

went to the 18th floor panorama bar on a night out in baghdad accosted the minute i entered had to pay upfront for every beer at a rip off price of 15,000 iraqi dinar for a bottle of tuborg 't' beer... deafening arabic karaoke/disco on with only a few people about...had a couple beers and left...bad experience...avoid

This is an old hotel and they have not done any upgrades. There is no restaurant at the hotel and there is no good eating places close by. They also do not accept credit cards. Only USD and Iraqi Dinars are accepted. I had to give them all the cash I brought with me, during check in.

It is awful, dirty, old it seems that it is built 50 years ago. All furnitures, instruments and thing are old fashion and related last century. I am really sad and i can’t stay here even one hour. I paid for 3 nights now i am going to check out and give back money. I hope they collaborate

The hotel is rated 5 star but have far less facilities than a 5 star hotel and can be easily compared to a 3 star or below. Restroom and Bathing area are separate which is a big disadvantage. Rooms are not cleaned well have very low light and dust all around. Breakfast is just ok only having one or two proper edible items and majorly filled with salad items. Phone was not working so no calls can be made to the reception or room service people and was not fixed even asking multiple times.
